Small restaurant with a beautiful view. The waiter was very young but knowledgeable. He was able to answer the questions even though the menu was a little weirdly labeled. WF vs GF but he ensured us it was GF.
We shared scallops, filet, mashed potato, poached pear salad. They also said they could cook us anything fried because they had a separate way of frying.
Scallops weren’t our favorite in flavor but everything was prepared well. The mashed potato’s and filet are a definite.
I reserved a table via Google maps, and sent the request/comments that I have celiac disease, and I need to be protected from cross contamination. The food was fresh and exquisite. Cocktails were creative and delicious. Every menu item I requested was filtered for celiac safety, and they explained the process of creating the dish. I ordered the halibut, which was not marked gluten free on the menu, and they converted the recipe to make it safe. In addition, they brought samples of 2 wines for me to consider before ordering, no charge. I ordered 2 cocktails for the two of us, and sent one back—no charge—to be replaced by a more preferred cocktail. After tipping 22%, we paid $90 per person for a starter, 2 Alaskan halibut entrees, and 2 cocktails. The waitress cheerfully offered and took several pictures of us with the incredible view of Friday Harbor while we waited for our food. The experience was worth every penny. I can’t wait to return.
