Rude staff but for a Celiac like me, the food was delicious and I had no ill effects after eating there. I'd eat there again even though the staff leaves a lot to be desired. I had the Chips & Queso and the Creole Rib Tacos with Fries.

Great food, knowledgable waitstaff. Menu is not labeled properly as there is no dedicated fryer and some items are fried yet labeled gf. Thank the waitstaff for pointing this out. No soap in bathroom.

I am conflicted on how to write this review because we have been here several times and the food is delicious. There is a nice variety of interesting tacos on corn tortillas as well as a variety of side dishes. My kids love the chips with queso which they have not had since being diagnosed. My primary concern is the inclusion of fried foods on the list of gluten free sides as there is not a dedicated fryer. For those concerned with cross contamination, this excludes the plantains, fries, and the crispy duck pieces that might be on your duck taco. Though we have had some wonderful well meaning servers, it took a bit of effort on the last visit and a talk with the manager to conclude that some items listed as GF are not safe. They seem to have a handle on the other GF options listed. So as always, if you have Celiac disease, be persistent with your questions....but enjoy because the portions are large and the food is great!

Best tacos in town! There's a lot of truly gluten free taco selections. Also the polenta and jalapeño coleslaw are amazing! I do want to warn those with celiac though to stay away from anything fried, including the chips, because I was told there is no dedicated fryer or separate oil. Overall one of my favorite places to eat and no reaction!

Came in at noon on a Saturday during Labor Day weekend and it was PACKED. They had a lot of seating so we ended up waiting only about 20 minutes and I'm really glad we did because the food was a great mix of Caribbean and Mexican flavors.

SO DELICIOUS!!! I love going to rum house! The food is great, the drinks are refreshing, and the atmosphere is fun! Everything gluten free is clearly marked, and don't be afraid to ask if they can make something gluten free that's not as it is (for example, they can easily make the nachos gluten free by replacing the pork with chicken). Great tacos, chips and dips, and entrees. A great place to go with friends, even just for a snack.

I would go back to New Orleans just to go here. First things first: if you have celiac, ask about everything. Do not get anything deep fried. There is no dedicated fryer. Some of the tacos are marked GF but may be cross-contaminated because of fried ingredients. Do NOT let that stop you from coming- just make sure you tell the server that you have celiac. Our server, Sarah, was patient and attentive and came back and forth to our table 3 times with answers to questions about ingredients. I felt completely comfortable. Good thing too, because the food is exploding with flavor! It's spicy, for sure, but not hot. I had the Mr. Biggs taco plate (my friends ate the beef patty, brought on a separate plate) with 4 tacos and rasta veggies (jerk veggies). The only problem I had was filling up so I couldn't eat more.

Delicious tacos and Avocado mango dip. I had the flaked fish and the chopped shrimp tacos. Lots of flavor and safe to eat! Many GF items on the menu are clearly marked. Friendly service even during lunch rush. $2 taco Tuesdays! 🍀

Love this place, tons of gf options all clearly marked on the menu. The food is great and staff is knowledgeable. Rate 4 stars because chips, plantains and other fried items (some tacos may have fried garnish or topping- ask questions) ARE NOT celiac safe because of shared fryer, even though may be labeled gf. Highly sensitive Celiac no reactions, as long as avoid fried items.

AWESOME food! Tons of gluten free options, good prices, and great food. The tortilla chips do not have a dedicated fryer, however, so there is cross contamination and they should be avoided by very sensitive celiacs. I had the taco trifecta, with a shrimp taco, flaked fish taco, and island beef taco. All three were delicious and it came with a side of mango coconut rice which was great. They also have the "painkiller" drink here, which earned them bonus points with me since it's my favorite drink! Fun atmosphere, too.

This place is amazing! We had heard good things and my daughter who has celiac disease was amazed that most of the menu was gluten free. My daughter and I ordered tacos and really enjoyed the brisket taco and jerk chicken tacos in particular and our sides were delicious, the mashed potatoes were one of the highlights. The servers were friendly and knowledgable and while they did not have a dedicated gluten free fryer that did not keep us from having excellent meals even in Mexican restaurant!

Fresh, flavorful, and good variety on separate GF menu. They told me the tortilla chips did not have a dedicated fryer. I ordered and inhaled my delectable dish of Brisket tacos, sweet potato chips, fried plantains. My pal, a local, said she's adding this spot to her favorites!

Great gluten free menu and affordably priced. Get the avocado and mango dip! I recommend taking taking the st Charles street car to get there if you're from out of town. You get great food and a cool ride plus you can stop by Lafayette cemetery on your way.
