Wonderful spot for a special occasion, use caution with the menu. Unfortunately many of the menu items were mis-labeled as *gluten-sensitive (meaning able to be modified to be gluten-free) but I was so grateful for our waiter’s confident corrections when I asked about individual items. He was able to share exactly what was and wasn’t safe and apologized for the mis-printed menu. The ambiance is amazing here and it’s definitely worth the price for an anniversary dinner like we just enjoyed - they even covered our crème brûlée dessert!
Unfortunately I was served gluten on what I had ordered. Even after taking it back to the kitchen to remake the one dish, it was returned with the gluten items still on the dish. After telling the server many times while ordering and even after returning the dish it did not help the situation. He wouldn’t ask the chef to come speak with us because he said the chef was too busy. I couldn’t have been more polite, but my husband was quite upset after the dish was served with gluten again. We just left without eating anything as he was waiting to eat until I was served. If you do decide to eat here, I recommend being certain the waiter you get knows first of all what gluten is and knows exactly what is in the dish before ordering.
Went to the Sardine Factory for our anniversary- fine dining at its best. The Chef came out to discuss my dietary issues besides GF - no issues- amazing food and service. Food was amazing, we were treated like we were royalty. The GF chocolate cake was so rich and wonderful. Highly recommend.
