People very friendly, lots of GF options but no dedicated fryer so no fries. 😔

Meats and sauces are GF. Several side choices. I've been here several times without issue.

Found this place on the app. It’s a small hometown place with good food. I had the beef brisket and it was delicious. Would definitely recommend. Not a chain or big place but made it almost nicer.

The food was great and gf food was well marked on menu. We would have felt more secure if staff had worn face masks.

The menu specified which items are gluten free (“to the best of their knowledge”) with a GF next to them. They told me they’d change gloves and utensils used when serving my food and my receipt was marked for no bread and “GF” on it.

Delicious, lots of options, great service

Everything was delish! Very careful swapped utensils gloves and made sure it was good to go!

The food is good and the staff is very knowledgeable. I have eaten here a few times and have never been cross contaminated. The sausage is very spicy but good.

My whole (none GF family) loves this place! I have celiac and didn't get sick.

A lot of BBQ places come and go but this place has been around for years now. Good options. Others mention the cajun sausage but it's too spicy for me -- makes my nose run! Too hot to eat.

I will agree with the rave reviews about the Cajun sausage. It was spicy and delicious. Unfortunately, the pulled pork had no flavor of its own and required the use of their barbecue sauce. The sauce was sweet, and the flavor of it quickly got old. The sides were mediocre, with the baked beans having a sweet BBQ flavor as well. For five stars from the previous posters, I expected a lot more.
Since discovering The Smoking Apple, we've been going several times a month. Being Celiac, having a good Gluten-free dining option is very important. Being quite sensitive to gluten cross contamination, I've yet to experience any issues. And the food is excellent to top it off. The cajun sausage is by far my favorite with the mixed vegetables topped with butter corn, and garlic mashed potatoes.

Love their food, it is Fantastic! Never had an issue. I have Celiacs.
All of the meats are gluten-free, as well as the majority of the sides. Have to let them know to change gloves and that gluten-intolerant or have celiac to have them take precautions. BBQ sauces are completely GF.
