Great food & even better service! When I ordered mine GF & without cheese, the young man taking my order let me know that they put butter on the buns & ordered mine without it :D. My 11 yo son is also Celiac & he said it was the best burger ever! They only serve burgers, fries & shakes, but they have an excellent GF bun. It’s only drive thru, but the quality is better than most restaurants.
We go here 1-2 times a month. The people are amazing with gluten free..always label everything, say they change gloves, etc. Have never had an issue here. My son has celiac and OMG I am so grateful that the Stand takes such amazing precautions. And the food is really awesome.
Yum!!!!! GF options and apparently a family member of the owner has celiac so they know what they are doing. Best burger I’ve had in a LONG time. So so tasty. I can’t stop thinking about it. And first drive through burger as a person with celiac! Yay! The things I once took for granted (like going through a drive through), now seem like extra special treats!! Thank you to the Stand! I’ll be a new regular even though you are 30 min away. The milkshake was tasty too!
Best experience ever! Everyone was so knowledgeable and friendly about our gluten free order and assured us it would be cooked on a separate surface. When they handed us the bags they both were marked as gluten free (with smiley faces). Definitely recommend for anyone with celiacs.
Ordered at the drive-thru, prefaced order with celiac concerns, next thing I knew the owner herself (who also has celiac disease) walked out of the restaurant and greeted us at our car. Was very impressed by the professionalism and reassurance. The food is amazing too! I ordered a cheeseburger on gf bun, fries, and a shake. Most of the menu is gf with the exception of regular non gf buns. The staff is well trained on proper cross contamination protocols. Highly recommend, will be going back often!
A solid option. Fries are GF. However, Indian School location no longer sells tacos. Your only GF option is a burger w/ GF bun.
My celiac son has eaten here three times without any problems. We are always clear about his condition, and they are very attentive. One time my husband went through the drive thru and there was some mix up because his burger didn’t come “dry” (not lettuce, tomato, sauce). The bun was GF, but my son wasn’t confident they were as conscientious that time and refused to eat the burger. We don’t used the drive thru anymore. Only fries are fried, so he’s never had a problem with the fries.
I understand the owner has Celiac. I had a burger on a toasted bun with fries. The moment I mentioned I have celiac there was an announcement to the cooks. Everyone was knowledgeable when I began with my list of questions. Safe, delicious and well worth the return for more burgers and fries.
do not go here anymore. food is not safe. they either changed owners or something else happened. I got so so sick. staff isn't as caring and I am miserable. this used to be run by a celiac and now it is NOT SAFE. I got sick from a lettuce wrapped bun which means cross contamination is heavy in the kitchen now.
Stopped by for lunch today, Monday May 8th. Having read all of the good reviews on here and other sites, I thought it would be great!
Unfortunately I didn't get to eat anything. The staff told me they don't do tacos anymore, and they had no gluten free buns for the burgers. She actually seemed really surprised that I was asking about gluten free.
So maybe it's changed ownership, or I just got a bad employee, but I had to find somewhere else for lunch today....
They do a fairly good job with GF. I have eaten here numerous times without incident. However, on a recent drive thru pick up, during a lunch rush, I ended up getting a regular bun, which was discovered after a couple of bites and I ended up sick for a week. I have since been back and made sure to order my GF as an allergy not a preference and they've gotten it right every time since that experience.
After asking, "is it really gf safe for a celiac?"They informed us, the owner is celiac & they take the precautions needed. It was AMAZING!!! We tried the burgers, fries, tacos & salted dulche de leche and milkshake!!! A must try if you're in the area!!!!
We love this place for burgers and fries. They take their gluten free food prep very seriously. The first time we went the cashier accidentally put in our order as non gluten free. We realized her mistake after we started eating. The owner came out to see us, refunded our meals, remade our food and took full responsibility for the error. He said his girlfriend is celiac and he takes it very seriously. He realized his new cashier needed more training. We have gone many times since then and have not had any issues. Just be sure to look for the toothpick in your burger that indicates your meal was specially prepared.
