Their gluten free savvy chefs are no longer working at the establishment, and as a result, the number of GF items in the menu has diminished. They have a kale salad and you can most of the pizzas GF (depending on toppings). The service has gone down hill a LOT in the last year... This is no longer a go to of mine, sadly.
I sadly have to change my previous review of the surf spot. I still love the food, but it is no longer a safe place for Celiac's. They apparently have a new chef and are now making their own bread, and in their own words "flour is everywhere" in the kitchen. They knew enough to warn us, and the chef even came out and offered to hand make our son a new burger with all new utensils. Sounded great. But today my son woke up sicker then he has been in a long time. So very sad to take this place off the list.
No
Ordered a gluten free burger and when it was brought out (45 minutes later) it looked a lot like my sons burger which was regular. I asked and they checked with the cook who said it was NOT gluten free and they switched the burgers on accident. Had I not asked I would be in the hospital right now. NOT IMPRESSED. The service was terrible as well and WAY overpriced. Celiac beware!
Great tasting options. Some staff are familiar with celiac. Some are not, so make sure you find out from your server which sides that come with your entree are gluten-free. ALL staff are friendly. The setting is wonderful with ample free parking. Try the gluten-free dessert!
Overall good experience, but the service got a little slow after the food arrived. Getting an extra sauce was impossible. The GF bun, while baked on location, was good but a bit too hard for my liking, ended up eating my burger with a knife and fork. Fries are not safe, but roast potatoes can be subbed and are tasty but could have used ketchup.
