I'm unsure of their cross contamination measures but I dont think it's good. I had the mission tea with a scone, soup, 6 sandwiches, and a fudge cake. By the time I bit into the sandwich selection I was about to lose my bowels in their lobby due to 2 bathrooms stalls. When I had left later my neck was tightening and was ready to throw up. The food was good dont get me wrong but I wouldnt go back fully trusting them.
We had the most enjoyable afternoon tea at the Tea House! We informed our server right away about needing gluten free food and was assured the afternoon tea meals all had gluten free options. The gf cranberry scone was moist, not crumbly at all and delicious! The gf breads they used for the tea sandwiches (there were 2 different breads) were also soft, not dry at all and so so good! The dessert was a caramel chocolate layer bar with a nut crust served with a dollop of whipped cream. I had no reactions whatsoever and definitely want to return at some point!
My BF and I went here June 2022 and he was able to get the $37 afternoon tea service celiac friendly. I got it vegetarian. They were very accommodating! We didn’t mention cross contamination, but he had no issues. It was delicious and he said that the chocolate cake was one of the best deserts he had had in his entire life!
This tea house was absolutely incredible! Our family has a lot of different food restrictions including celiac, egg allergies, vegetarianism, and dairy-free and this place was so kind in finding tasty options for all of us. Could not recommend enough for anyone with food restrictions! They had gluten free scones (non-vegan) and vegan scones. We went here on Christmas Eve and it was beautifully decorated with heated outdoor seating. It’s on the pricier side but if you’re looking to treat yourself, this is a great option.
