The Tearooms at Shamrock Cottage

Lunch here with family. All cabinet GF was on top shelf. GF toasty was yum. Server asked us if we were coeliac and recorded on the order. Venue is VERY noisy so not the place for a peaceful lunch but the food was good and the staff knew what they were doing.

Excellent service, knowledgeable staff. Care taken on all levels. I believe that the Owners daughter is coeliac. Food is always top notch. The GF ham and cheese toasted sandwich is super yum.

If you’re in Auckland I highly recommend a visit to Shamrock Cottage in Howick. They have a fantastic selection of delicious GF goodies in the cabinet (their cheese scones and date and orange scones in particular are amazing!) as well as yummy brunch options. As a Coeliac I eat regularly and have always had a safe and delicious experience.

Loads of gluten free options, even for my fussy coeliac child. She got french toast off the kids menu and I bought a yummy slice to share. Staff seemed knowledgeable about coeliac requirements. Will definitely go again.

Very cute cafe! lots of options - I've eaten the cabinet food but there was things on the menu which could be gf as well
