Yesterday I had one of their gf soups of the day, carrot with other things in it, probably coriander- tasted coconutty too…totally brill. Came with butter and two slices of gf bread and a fair few green salad leaves as a garnish… so I buttered the bread, rolled up the leaves within the bread-minus cucumber) and dipped it in the soup. Gorgeous. Then, after, I thought I wonder if they have any gf cake left. “What do you have?” Lady reeled off a list of so many interesting names, I settled with the very first (Choc chip with a smashing icing and a few raspberry bits*)… but then realised they had a gf scone option too… so it was only polite to have a scone/jam/clotted cream too 😋 Yes, I was totally stuffed. Never ate another thing all day. * the name choc chip sounds quite innocuous/kinda boring but this cake was far from that.
