I think your experience has a lot to do with who your waiter is. We had someone who didn’t speak amazing English and I don’t speak any Turkish so I think there was a communication gap which made me anxious. I didn’t feel sure that my needs were being understood.
That said, I played it safe and had a salad with the gluten free pita/mustard dip on the side. It was very good and I didn’t get sick. So many amazing reviews on here, maybe it’s worth trying another time.

The waiter and manager were super knowledgeable. They take every precaution in the kitchen. The items aren't marked on the menu, but they talked me through my options, of which there were so many! I settled on the lamb kebab and it was absolutely delicious. I am a super sensitive Celiac and no reaction so I will definitely return.

This place is a gem! I told the owner I was GF-he immediately brought me out GF pitas. I had the falafel wrap-delicious! BEST hummus and grape leaves I’ve ever had!! And the owner serenaded us with a beautiful Turkish song on guitar-awesome vibe and food and I did not get sick at all! Almost everything on menu was GF and he was extremely knowledgeable.

So awesome! Did not even get the words “I have a question” out of my mouth before the owner smiled and said “Gluten free?” Tasty GF “pita” and ridiculously delicious GF/DF mezze dips and salads while my non-GF hubby enjoyed light and crispy spinach pie and a couple of kibbe. No special menu options listed but much of the menu is naturally gluten free.

Delicious! I had the GF Iskender Kebab. It was very tender and flavorful. The portions are big that it was enough for two meals. They also had GF pita! The staff was so friendly and made us feel very welcomed.

It’s the simple things that took my experience over the top. How many times can you say that when your group gets bread at the table that they have a gluten free option? I can say I’ve NEVER had that happen. They fried up a gluten free tortilla and cut it into strips and brought me my own separate dipping sauce.
Nothing on the menu is listed as gluten free but MOST items on the menu can be made gluten free. There were soooo many options.
I had the beef kabab and it came with white rice and a salad with a vinaigrette on it. Excellent flavors in all the food, even the plain rice was moist and didn’t stick together and had flavor to it. Beautiful plating. I felt 100% confident in eating here.
There are even 2 desserts that are gluten free (rice pudding and chocolate pudding). We decided to not get dessert and they brought us a rice pudding on the house and it was DELICIOUS.

Definitely need to speak to the owner/manager, he is fantastic. Just tell him you need everything gluten free and he will happily accommodate (nothing is marked on the menu). They have gf pita and gf falafel and most other items are naturally gluten free. They even have 2 desserts that are gluten free.

What a great option for lunch (2 course for $14.95) or to come for dinner! The staff and owner are so friendly. Very nice atmosphere. They took care in making sure we understood how they prepare the food. Almost the whole menu can be gluten free. We started with Gluten free pita warmed safely in its own pan and served with exceptional hummus. The grilled chicken, rice and Mediterranean salad with tzatziki were all outstanding. My husband had the lamb entree and loved it. After eating our entrees the owner brought us over their homemade gluten free rice pudding dessert (his moms recipe) which was delicious. Don’t miss out on The Turk, it’s worth the trip.

They have gluten free pita bread and will bring separate bowls of oil for dipping. My daughter with celiac ate here several times and never had a reaction.
The owner is very knowledgeable and accommodating. He makes all of his customers feel welcome and taken care of. Many, if not most of the items on the menu are inherently gf. The owner is very willing to make modifications for dietary concerns.
The food is fresh and delicious. Besides the regular menu, there are often special items. Plus, if you are lucky, the owner will play some music for you.
