Excellent gluten free options, for grown ups and kids, including fries (although at the time we got there, the fryer was clean because it hadn't been used. The owner mentioned she is gluten free, and the staff takes it seriously. It's also a really nice detour to get on the Pennsylvania Turnpike headed west without having to stop in Breezewood.

Absolutely incredible meal!!! Five stars!!!

First time to the Union Hotel was Thursday, December 28, 2023. We had a 4:00 PM reservation. My wife had celiac disease and is highly susceptible to even the slightest cross contamination. When we arrived the restaurant was immaculate, elegant and just decorated beautifully. The owner came out to greet us at our table and explained the menu and how they get their food sourced. The menu had a ton of gluten free items gluten free optional, vegan, and vegan optional. My wife and I stated with the spinach and artichoke appetizer with GF bread and it was outstanding. Best appetizer we have had in years. Then we had the She crab soup, delightfully full of flavor. Since we are both plant-based, my wife had the beet salad and I had an impossible burger. Both were exceptionally well prepared and very tasty. Fries were gluten free as well which was really nice.

This is definitely a five star place to dine.

Awesome experience and delicious food. Menu is clearly marked with gluten free options. The owner and staff are well trained in gluten free. Please be aware they do not have a dedicated fryer. I felt very safe eating here.
