I was told they don’t have a separate fryer but their fryer is hot enough to kill the gluten, so I educated them. Well, after you take out the fried items, there’s not a whole lot of choices for lunch that are gluten free besides salads or dinner meals. Was just hoping for a sandwich and fries. The waitress said the cook told her they didn’t cook gluten in the fryer yet today so I should be ok, another red flag. I ordered a wedge salad. Their miseducation scares me. Update: an hour after lunch and I’m glutened from a side salad. After asking all the right questions.
Exceptional from the beginning! My server, Debbie, was very knowledgeable about what I could eat (I’m both gluten and dairy intolerant-severe). I ordered the Wagyu burger and it is fabulous! The sidewinder fries are life changing😊. If I could give 10 stars I would!
I’ve regularly had their salmon, pear salad, polenta fries, wagyu burger with the gluten free bun and I’ve never been gluten poisoned. It’s difficult to find safe places to dine downriver but this place takes extra care. It’s not inexpensive….. but it is lovely, delicious and safe. I highly recommend the wagyu burger and if you are a dog owner they welcome well behaved pups at their outdoor tables.
