The Water Bar

Came here to get some gluten-free snacks and was disappointed. The baked goods that we purchased didn't taste that good (pumpkin cookie cake and chocolate filled hand pie). Found hair in our fries so that kind of soured the experience.

I can't speak to the rest of the menu which looks pretty interesting. However, if you're looking for gluten-free pastries and desserts, I would go to the Eye Candy bakery down 3rd Street - much better goodies.

Really enjoyed myself with my daughter here. The bakery case was full of treats that we could surprisingly eat all of and we had the best vegan tacos I've ever had anywhere.

There was a little bit of a wait. But we went for dinner on a Saturday so to be expected. The food tasted great and my daughter and I didn't get sick. So, that's a huge win for our family.

Highly recommend for those with food allergies.

Oh my gosh. Ive gone to heaven! Orange chicken that is GF and vegan? Yes, cause this entire place is GF and vegan. Im blown away.

No Other Restaurant or Bakery Like It

I have been following The Water Bar since before they opened and they have improved everything so much in such a short time. I go to a lot of different vegan and gluten free establishments and I can honestly say there is not one that is better than The Water Bar.

They don't just do one thing well, they have more offerings then any other vegan or gluten free place I have ever been too and I just tried their new spring menu and OMG is it so much better than I thought it would be. Fresh flavors, everything is made fresh and no worry of cross contamination is all I needed to hear!

Let me give you an honest review of the business from a mom with little kids. When they first opened their St. Charles location we could not have been more excited. Finally a place me and my family could go to and not have to worry about getting sick. It was a cute little place but did not offer much more than coffee, drinks and some bakery items. We would go on weekends but had to go elsewhere to get food.

When that closed, we were so bummed but saw that they were opening a bigger location in Geneva. It was worth the wait! The cookies are the best cookies I have ever tasted. Gluten free or otherwise. Their food is fresh and honestly has great flavor. The food isn't drowning in sauce but if you love fresh food an flavors it is the place for you. The new ice cream and shakes is a game changer for my children. We cannot go anywhere and I mean anywhere to get them ice cream or a shake due to Celiac.

Honestly, the water bar has been a game changer for my family and I. It is the only place we can go and not only all get something different but can enjoy ourselves care free. Thank you for existing and we are so excited to keep following you as you continue to grow.

By far the best vegan and gluten free restaurant my family has been too. I could not believe that this was here when I searched on Google but OMG are my and my family happy it is!

Love walking in and smelling the bakery in the morning and the menu is more extensive than I ever thought possible for a place that caters to so many different restrictions.

The staff were very helpful in answering our families allergy questions and we felt very comfortable, for the first time in a long time, ordering whatever we wanted on the menu.

The cookies were probably the best thing I have ever had in my life. The chocolate chip cookie is to die for. I could honestly eat them all day.

Highly recommend you go and try it for yourself!

This place is one of a kind! Great allergy friendly menu with a wide variety. Tacos, burgers, baked goods, shakes. All vegan, gluten free, and peanut free. They even offer baking classes! Will definitly be bringing friends here.
