What an incredible anniversary celebration of slow dining (our choice) outside at the Water's Edge. The staff was well versed in both gluten free and vegan options. The owner checked on us several times, and it was perfect. We started with short rib tacos over a bed of lettuce instead of flour tortillas. Then an amazing cup of baked potato soup that I asked them to double check because it was so good. Then we shared lobster risotto packed with lobster tails and ribeye steak that was perfectly tender, grilled and had a lovely sauce. We also had smashed potatoes that were lumpy, as promised, and buttery as can be. At the end I had creme brulee and a dollop of mascarpone cream and fresh strawberries that were part of another special that had gluten elsewhere. They also had three kinds of handmade ice cream. The bar menu was awesome too. Other dining options included high tables for 6 with fire pits in the center. There are umbrellas for shade until the sun goes in and a pair of lovely trees. The service was impeccable and we stayed just up the hill in a cozy cottage here at the Memory Town property just a short walk away and an evening if stargazing. Perfect.
