The Westin Playa Bonita Panama

I showed my equal eats card despite there being Gf menu items Sadly the ketchup they have there has gluten in it.

I was brought the full catering bag to be shown the warning . I appreciated that

I basically turned off the highway as I was hungry and I had seen this place on Find me GF

I wasn't disappointed. The prices are high but then again they are catering to a captive audience for the most part Sit outside and see the views of the container ships queuing in line for the Panama canal

I had the salmon carpaccio and the sea bass. There's no dessert menu sadly. But I really enjoyed treating myself for lunch at the Starfish grill.

I was at the Westin Playa Bonita for a conference. For the set event dinners they made me the same meals but gluten free, including a mango cannoli appetizer, they even made me a special gf pecan pie tart! The Steak house, and Asians both have gluten free right on the menu, as does the lunch at the Starfish grill! I was able to get gf clam chowder! Though not marked, there were lots of options at the breakfast buffet. Room service and the poolside grill are trickier, but if you stick to the restaurants, you’re great!

We're in Panama on vacation with my highly wheat allergic son staying at the Westin Playa Bonita. We had no reaction after eating at Asiana! The menu has GF items marked (limited options but doable). He had the chicken wings, edamame, fried rice, and sautéed veggies. They confirmed they use GF soy sauce in GF dishes. I tested the wings and sautéed veggies with Nima - smiles on both. Whew! Highly recommend.
