Review of The Wolff Grill Restaurant

Lovely setting and surroundings in some of the old Harland and Wolf buildings with lots of ship and titanic memorabilia. Servers were clearly interested in good service and allergy concerns and the general message was, let us know what you like and we will see what we can do which was great

Unfortunately, even though they are classing themselves as an expensive fine dining experience they are not quite delivering on it all.

From a coeliac perspective, despite a desire to provide options, there is no separate frier therefore no chips or other fried options available. I was not overly worried by the lack of a GF menu however was hoping for better guidance from staff.

The GF breads were nice but not outstanding, the chicken and mash was very nice, and the garlic, chilli broccoli and peas was very nice. Only desert option available GF was a chocolate almond tart with raspberry which was ok but very very rich and overpowering. Really would have needed a little ice-cream or something to help cut it a little.

Overall I was disappointed, by comparison Browns Bonds Hill in Derry is a similar restaurant targeting the same clientele and is of significantly higher quality of food and flexibility for GF customers. I would recommend you to visit but more for the surroundings than the food. If you want a high end food experience go to Brown's Bond's Hill in Derry.
