Three Birds Cafe

I ordered the Ole Reliable (grilled cheese sandwich) on gluten-free bread. There was a $1.50 upcharge for this bread, which was fine with me. My sandwich arrived without any comment from the server that it was gluten-free. I brought the plate to the counter to verify that is was indeed gluten-free and was told that it was not, because they were out of gluten-free bread. They offered me a mushroom soup or a salad. There were no apologies for the error. I requested a refund which they gave me. I left having zero confidence in their ability to provide reliable service for a special dietary need. I will not be returning, which is unfortunate because I loved the vibe and the staff were friendly. I enjoy supporting local businesses, but with a food allergy, I cannot risk returning to this cafe.
