they said they were gluten free, got sick and they didn't care.
No
We had a very enjoyable meal here and we did not have any reactions to it afterwards. Tijuana Flats does not have a gluten free menu or give any gluten information, so you need to know ahead of time what you can order here. The hard tacos, chips, and corn tortillas are all fried in shared oil with the flour tortillas, so don't order anything fried here. The beans (black and refried), rice, meats, and queso are all safe. I had soft corn tacos and asked for them not to be fried. My husband had enchiladas, which are usually dipped in the oil, but he asked for them not to be dipped. All of our requests were met, and our food was delicious.
There is no longer a gf menu and the manager said everything is cross contaminated and it is not a place that is safe for celiacs

They do not have a dedicated fryer so the corn tortillas are fried in the same location as the wheat tortillas. I was told it is not recommended for those with severe gluten sensitivity to eat there. They have items that did not contain gluten but the possibility of cross contamination is too high
