The food here was delicious. I like that they know exactly how to prepare food for celiacs. They actually ask if it is a preference or an allergy. When am said “celiac,” they knew exactly what I was talking about and told me it would be labeled “allergy.” My husband ordered a barbacoa grilled cheese, my son ordered a classic grilled cheese, I ordered a classic cheeseburger, and my daughter order the grilled cheese with brisket inside. It all came prepared in udi’s multi grain bread and the sandwiches held together well. The customer service was great and I wish this place was close to me. I need one of these places close by.
At this location, and at the newer location near UCF, I got "glutened" by my supposedly gluten-free orders. Deliciousness not worth the sickness. I'm just intolerant and not celiac, so I'd worry for how badly someone with celiac would be affected.
They almost poisoned me and the gluten free bread sucked. They didn't ring my order up as gluten free even though I specified and they showed me the gluten free menu. Thankfully when my food came I was skeptical because it looked exactly like the regular one so I checked my receipt and asked. They said they forgot to ring it up right and then asked me to pay the upcharge. When my food finally came back it was hardly edible. The gluten free bread was very whole grain so the flavor overwhelmed the pesto chicken. I don't recommend this place and would never go back. Save yourself the risk and trouble.
was really excited to try because they have gluten and dairy free and the reviews om here were awesome. i didn't get sick or anything but the food was meh. it wasn't terrible but it also wasn't my favorite. had a burger...itnwas cooked really well but the bread waw as hard as a rock and didn't even look toasted(no brown on it at all) the fries were good the have a dedicated fryer which is always nice. this place is a little far from home and is not worth the trip to go back again.
The staff is very knowledgeable of food allergies and are very cautious in the prep of your meal in regard to your needs. Food was excellent for everyone in our party and this was the first place I had been in a while that I didn't leave sick! It was wonderful to enjoy a meal and leave feeling great! Will definitely be back!
What a yummy unique grilled cheese sane high I had! I picked the one with fig & goat cheese & honey & spinach! Yum! And the staff looks out for you! My server noticed my sandwich was not GF the first time and sent it back before I even saw it and apologized that it took longer. I will be back the next time in town!!
Amazing grilled cheese! The fries were delicious! I don't think it could have been better. I was in town on business and ate here three days in a row. The staff was really aware and attentive, they made me feel really comfortable and confident. They go the extra mile and it really shows. Edit: I go to Toasted every time I'm in town for business now. It's always amazing. The Gouda As It Gets is my fav! Also the cupcake business next door does GF cupcakes every day
Visiting while dropping my kid off at college and tries this place. All I can say is AMAZING!!! Gluten free option for almost every item and it is really gluten free. And reasonably priced! Try the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese. Unbelievably awesome taste! Can't wait to come visit again!!!
The staff is very helpful and I love that they have a dedicated gf menu. Even their tomato soup is gf so you can have a grilled cheese and tomato soup combo. They also have a vegan cheese that is house made if you have dairy allergy as well, which is really yummy. I also loved turkey burger Bahn mi on gf bread) it really flavorful and spicy. They are so helpful with my other allergies as well. They take this seriously. It's refreshing.
Any sand which can be made gluten free except one. They located in a strip mall next to Whole Foods in Winter Park. My 7 year old had a grilled cheese sandwich and I had the Fig & Goat cheese sandwich which had havarti, goat cheese, whole fig, basil & honey.
I can't believe Toasted has been around since Feb and I just discovered them. Def one of my new favorite places! It's so nice to be able to enjoy a GF grilled cheese sandwich and some fries and not worry about getting sick! Quick service plus knowledgable & cautious staff. My only regret is that I didn't get Toasted sooner ;). You can read my entire GF review of Toasted on my blog: http://www.celiacinorlando.com/2013/toasted/
