We are at Tommy’s tonight. I asked the server for recommendations on what they could do gluten free and they told me it would be easier to let them know what I’d like and they would see if it could be made gluten free. I asked for a pasta dish but they don’t have gf pasta. They have gf pizza but it’s all made in the same area as the regular pizzas so I felt uncomfortable with that. I settled on the bbq chicken which came with Mexican street corn and corn bread and asked the server to leave off the cornbread and to check about the sides/bbq sauce. After checking they said the street corn had gluten so I asked what other sides were safe and they recommended fries but after finding out it’s a shared fryer I settled on a salad which was the only other option. I asked them about dressings for the salad and after checking they said they all have gluten and that I could have oil and vinegar. When my meal came out there was no bbq sauce on the chicken so it must also have gluten in it and the salad came with the wrong dressing. All in all I was very disappointed with this meal. The chicken was moist but just blah without the sauce and I’m not a big fan of oil and vinegar for dressing. I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon.
