Not the best experience. The waitress seemed knowledgeable but the selection was not there. I could only have hibachi and was told no to any sushi.

This place is great. I frequently order takeout or sit at the normal tables and never have an issue. I’m also nut free and feel comfortable with that aspect too.

I will say they are knowledgeable when it comes to knowing Gluten free. My waiter asked if it was an allergy or preference. I am a sensitive celiac & I felt totally okay eating it. However my GF hibachi chicken had no flavor at all. It looked like there would have been flavor but there just was none. The chicken just tasted like chicken with maybe a hint of a salt taste & the fried rice— Should just be called Rice with egg. All I could taste was eggs when having my rice. I would maybe recommend this as a back up esp if you’re with a group and they want to have hibachi but this place— in my option is not a to die for.

My family and I came to Tomo for Hibachi. I explained to the waitress that I have a gluten allergy and was gluten free. They prepared me my own plate separately in the kitchen. It was very tasty and I'm feeling well a day later. I had a good experience.

Mixed bag here. I, based on reviews here, had a hibachi plate and that was great. The staff seemed knowledgeable and the gluten free machine was well oiled. They brought me a dressing-less salad to start and the meal was prepared separately in the back and brought to me. However, the chefs at the hibachi grill were spraying sake into peoples mouths with a literal water gun (in other circumstances, hilarious) and I and all my stuff got sprayed. I had to go to the bathroom to wash off my mouth, request new cutlery, water, etc., so that was a little stressful. Fortunately they did that before my food arrived, so that was safe. I agree with other reviews saying you shouldn’t sit at the grill or advocate to not have the sake near you. I was there as part of a large group of people I didn’t know so I didn’t want to make a huge fuss about sitting away from the grill but honestly I found spraying sake to be super stressful.

Went here yesterday for lunch and had an amazing experience. Our family sat down for hibachi. We ordered the filet mignon and it was still amazing even gluten free. After I ordered the manager came over to talk to me to discuss the food preparation. He explained we couldn’t do gluten free on the hibachi grill if other people were eating so they would prepare mine separately in the kitchen. Unless the rest of our family was willing to have the food prepared gluten free as well, which they approved. Very knowledgeable staff, assertive and kind.

Staff super nice and knowledgeable! You shouldn't sit at the hibachi table becsuee of risk of cc but you can still get hibachi in the dining area! The clear soup and salad dressing is not GF so they'll bring you oil and vinegar and they have GF teriyaki sauce for the hibachi and also can make the fried rice GF! Very good! Not sure if the sushi, etc is GF since the few times I've been here I've only gotten hibachi!
