We love this place but since there’s no GF Menu per se ( and most likely cross contamination in the kitchen) it’s really up to your level of gluten sensitivity. (what I mean by this is that my partner and I eat no gluten by choice it’s not an allergy.) If you eat gluten-free by choice, then this would be a good place to go and I would request a waitress name Gertie she’s really wonderful and takes her time with you . she also understands what dishes do you have and do not have gluten.

Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable. He was able to list all the pasta dishes that we could have, as well as all the salads, apps, and desserts. If you get pasta the only GF noodle is penne which we have found pretty standard. They took celiacs seriously which was a breath of fresh air and my family got to enjoy a good family style Italian meal.
Note there is not a specific GF menu- but food can be prepared so there is no cross contamination.

Do not recommend for Celiacs. We had 2 celiacs at the table and both were sick before leaving the restaurant.

I made reservations here for a party of 6, and when I called to ask about how their gluten free pasta is cooked, they said it is cooked in the same water as the regular pasta. We cancelled our reservation. Very disappointing.

We stayed at the hotel next door so we ate here twice on our trip. Got the pasta a la vodka with mushrooms - both times! It was so good. I was told they cooked the pasta separately the entire process. The gf pasta is a penne shape. The first night we got a salad - too much oil to vinegar ratio on the dressing for my taste but that’s my only complaint. Note- they only serve family style portions so the salad was a full plate for each of us and the pasta was a huge platter.

This restaurant is NOT gluten free.
They cook the pasta labeled GF in the same water as the regular pasta and nearly all of the dishes are breaded and/or finished in a sauce containing flour. The only safe things to eat -- according to the wait staff -- are the steaks&chops and salads though I don't have any confidence based on how they mislabel the pasta options as GF.

Excellent gluten free experience. Substitute pasta with g/f, options to pan fry instead of deep fry. Food was great.

Daughter had a yummy pasta in bolognese sauce. She was the only gf person in the group, so they brought her an individual sized portion, which was super helpful. She loved it! They also have a gf dessert (Nutella torte) but my daughter got ice cream and she was extremely happy.

Ate at Tony’s last Saturday… was amazing!! Had the Chicken Piccata and ziti with tomato sauce. What a great meal! No issues! And the staff was very knowledgeable and super friendly! Will definitely eat here the next time I go to the city.

GF pasta is excellent, no reaction with salad, and gluten-free dessert!

AWFUL SERVICE! I ended up walking out.
There are no GF options except for salad. I asked about pasta but they boil the GF pasta in the same pot as the regular. A house salad and Bellini cost me $30! Not worth it!
Yes
Enjoyed a GF dinner with a large group. Everything was great including the dessert.

The food was INCREDIBLE!! Six of us went to dinner here and split several dishes “family style”. There were 5 NonGF and my husband who is allergic to gluten. We ordered fettuccine Alfredo (GF), a delicious vodka sauce mushroom pasta dish (GF) and chicken parmigiana. The staff created a separate plate for my husband for the chicken Parmesan so he could also have some so instead of breading it they just grilled the chicken and then baked it with the marinara and mozzarella. They were ABOVE and BEYOND accommodating. For dessert 5 of us split a plate of mini cannolis but my husband was able to order a GF Nutella cake. It was all so delicious. Highly recommend if you are ever in the area.
The restaurant doesn't have a great selection of gluten free options - they're not marked on the menu, and they don't have a separate GF menu, so we needed the waitress with us the whole time. Very limited appetisers and cheese isn't gluten free, which ruled out several mains, but they did have a GF dessert. Mains serve 2, so you need to be willing to share the same dish. Gluten free pasta has a $6 subsidy. The food was good, but our meal (pasta bolognese, dessert and a cheap drink) came to $85, and we had to call in somewhere for a bag of chips on the way home.

Our waitress was darling but she was not knowledgeable. Food was ok. Not as good as others in the same area.
Outstanding!!! First time I’ve had pasta Alfredo in 6 years!! Amazing! Great atmosphere, great staff and service, and they can make most items on the menu gf. The dishes are sized for “family style” so be ready to share, eat big, or have a place to store lots of leftovers! Can’t wait to go back next year!! 😘
Yes
Amazing food. Can do most items gluten free. The vodka sauce pasta was amazing. Because this place is family dining and dishes are meant for 2-3 people; they made me a smaller portion just for me and it was ideal. Very accommodating
Yes
Very pleased, GF pasta available and staff made sure that no bread crumbs were put on shrimp scampi, which was delicious!
The manager James welcomed us in and assured me he could feed my son and I. He wasn’t lying. I had one of the best meals in ages and didn’t get sick at all. My son (also celiac) was fine as well. The staff was knowledgeable and incredibly kind. They even have a selection of GF desserts! I leave NY tomorrow but I’m already hoping to come back soon- just to eat here.

Best meal I've had on a vacation! Read the amazing reviews but was still skeptical, but they proved themselves worth it! The broccoli penne was amazing and the Nutella cake was the best dessert I've had since being diagnosed!! I know I'm coming back to this place! :)
Yes
Great food. Gluten free penne. Seemed knowledgeable. I do not have Celiac so do not react to cross contamination so cannot answer about that. Great GF Nutella cake!
I was a serious as I can be asking my waitress if pasta was cooked in fresh water and fresh pot because I would get sick really really sick! She was so on it. It's 4 hours now I am fine and the food was delicious!! Penne aka vodka chicken Marsala and grilled veggies ...So Thankful
Great food and lots of it. Pricey & family style. The waitress was well informed about Celiac but not sure if others would be. We had a Chicken dish with mushrooms and peppers and GF pasta with marinara. No issues or side effects!
We come to NY 2 times a year for about 4 days. Each time we come here, we have at least four meals at Tony's! LOVE LOVE LOVE Tony's! And considering we generally only eat one meal out a day - that says something right there! Dreni, the manager is fabulous. If I could give more than 5 stars .... I would in a heart beat!
Yes
Very friendly and knowledgable staff. I had gluten free penne with olive oil, garlic, and broccoli and it was cooked to perfection. My only wish is that they made what is gluten free more clear on the menu.
Yes
We went here for a pre-show dinner. The service was excellent. This is a family style restaurant so I was concerned the rest of my family would have to eat the gluten-free option. But for guests with allergies, they allow you to order from an individual menu. The food was good and portions were large.
The food was exceptional! The chicken marsala was, bar none, the best I've ever had. Huge portions but you can order half orders for individual dishes. The wait for the food was a bit ridiculous (almost an hour) and no gf bread beforehand, but if you have time, the food is amazing!
Pasta and entree choices for celiac. Will make things GF. Serves family style and I'm the only celiac in my family.
Yes
Excellent food & service. Gluten free pasta available & dessert was gorgeous.
Yes
Been here 3 times and every time they made a great GF pasta with bolognese sauce.
They have gluten free spaghetti and it's pretty good. Their vodka sauce is a fave of mine and it's just as good with GF pasta so I'm glad they offer it!
Yes
I just had a horrible experience here. I alerted the staff to my allergies of dairy and gluten and received a eecommendation ahead of time. The salad came out great. After that it was a disaster. My order came COVERED in butter even though they were alerted to my dairy allergy. I could see it and smell it. The waiter tried again and it came covered in butter AGAIN. At that point the manager came over and assured me that it had no butter (I and my dining partner both tasted it and saw it swimming in yellow). Finally I told the manager that I wasn't comfortable eating it and I ordered a plain piece of chicken and pasta with nothing on it. I would've left if I wasn't so terribly hungry. To addbto the drama, they still charged us for it and the coffee that I had for dessert was horrendous.
