It was my son’s 21st Birthday & I thought this would be the perfect place to celebrate him. Unfortunately, our food experience was not as good as we hoped for. The restaurant views & music was nice, but we had to wait for over 45 mins for our drinks. We ordered appetizers, which were good. Our main entrees were served about an hour after we had our appetizers. Our food was under cooked, (Chilean sea bass @ $55) I sent it back, waited for another 30mins, & it came back even colder. Our waitress was apologetic, & wanted to comp me a dessert, which I declined. This venue is good for a drink at the bar & appetizers but overpriced dinners and wait time were horrible. A few days later we had dinner & drinks at the Rose Villa Restaurant, drinks, food & service was amazing! Highly recommend Rose Villa instead of Top of Daytona.
Not for the price conscious but you will be thrilled by the experience. Pasta is not gluten free but absolutely all of their sauces are. Order the Chicken Marsala sub for mashed potatoes and get a side of whipped butter. Compliment with a fresh black tea. You will be transfixed by the miles long view of ocean waves crashing and birds flying at eye level. The food is absolutely next level and I've eaten all over the world.
Waitress was not well versed. She asked the kitchen but never brought anyone out. Daughter settled on the red snapper, but preperation style was not listed on the menu. This came out fried after being told fried options were not gf. Fortunately the scallops I ordered are gf so my daughter took those, but she was reluctant to eat because she didn't trust it after the mix up.
