Torc Hotel

Went for lunch, said 2 coeliacs in our small group before we even sat at the table, after also saying it on the phone when booking the table during the week, was told it "wasn't a problem" by the manager. While ordering also said again I was a coeliac, while eating my starter asked waiter again if it was gluten free, after alot of chit chat between the waiters, manager came to me and said it would have been cooked in the same oil as other foods. Main course was ok, the waiter made a big announcement when bringing it to the table "the gluten free chicken stir fry". The waiter told me for dessert it would be pavlova, I said that was fine, pavlova came....with biscuit sprinkled all underneath the ice cream alongside the pavlova! I mean ffs. They had absolutely zero understanding of being coeliac / gluten free. The manager did not apologise, just told me there was cross contamination with the foods it was as simple as that. Never again will I eat there. Clueless. Waiters weren't all that helpful in the matter either. Zero knowledge and manners by manager, waiters / kitchen staff
