Sometimes on business travel you have to do strange things. One of them is the fact that I don't get to pick the restaurants, and in this case I ate at A Proposito for dinner and then lunch the next day. First, they cater to the business crowd and are only open Monday to Friday, no weekends. Second, it is right across from the train station (very convenient). The owner is well versed in what you can and cannot have, and she will tell you. Once. The menu is a big chalkboard that they pull around from table to table. For the dinner, I had the burrata as an appetizer, it normally comes with bread. I had the Filleto pistache -- very good, and the sides are family style, one being pasta. She brought me a garlicky rice dish instead. For the lunch we were on a time crunch -- and not drinking wine, so she was a little less accommodating. I did the hamburger -- which is a total misnomer. It is basically a filet, they butterfly it put in a slice of fresh mozzarella and a homemade pickle -- cover it in a delicious sauce and call it a hamburger! It was very nice. And, I felt comfortable that they understood Celiac and took precautions. I would recommend it -- and go hungry. Nothing is small.
