They have GF pasta on the menu so I ordered penne ala vodka GF. I made sure to tell the waitress 3 times that I was allergic and I needed GF pasta. She didn’t speak english very well but I thought she got the idea. My pasta came out and it was rigatoni—I have never seen GF rigatoni in my life so I sent it back to the kitchen. I was right, it wasn’t GF. 5 minutes later they brought out the dish with penne pasta, which I assumed had to be GF at this point, so I ate it. Bad bad decision because I’ve been violently sick all night. Do not eat here 😭

This quaint establishment has a great atmosphere. BUT—IT IS NOTTTTTTT CELIAC FRIENDLY AT ALL. They have gluten free pasta offered on the menu, but do not know if any of the sauces have gluten. I asked the waitress to speak to the chef and ask which ones were safe. She just smiled and kind of chuckled. She directed me to the vegetarian pasta on another page. Celiac people don’t need vegetarian pasta. They need safe pasta. Please do not waste your time if you have any problems at all with gluten. Even the fish was battered with some mysterious egg mixture, even though it was not indicated on the menu.
