I tried to eat here, but deemed it not safe as someone with celiac. The chicken was the only safe meat because the other meats are cooked with soy sauce, which seemed weird. The server couldn’t guarantee that the chicken doesn’t come in contact with the other meat. I just wanted to let others know if they choose to eat here and to ask!
This was really good Mexican food at the farmers market and is a good option if you want to go to the Grove and farmers market and eat. The options are limited and there is no special menu but they are very knowledgeable about cross contamination. You can’t have the corn tortillas because they are pressed on the same machine as the flour. This limits you to a bowl. I had the bowl and it was great and I didn’t get sick. Also, their chips are in a separate frier so they are safe.
Staff was knowledgeable about what is gf and not. In person menu not marked but online menu marked w/ gf. Chips are fried seperate but tortilla strips are not. Got the Barbacoa taco and carnitas taco! Both were very good. Also got chips and salsa that were delicious. No symptoms after.
Servers knew what was gluten free and not. Corn tacos, corn chips. Delicious fresh food and I’ve always felt fine after.
