Review

This is a modern take on the traditional fish-and-chip shop and restaurant. In my experience over quite a few years, it is entirely safe for celiacs- the fries are done separately, they fry the fish in a delicious gluten-free batter, they offer cider and gluten-free beer, as well as delicious gluten-free sweets (if you have the room). There is always a warm welcome too from servers who seem well informed about gluten-free issues. It is a genuine neighborhood venue too. The dining room is a fair size. You can reserve on line. The food is great. Not in the centre of Eastbourne, but an under-10-minute ride on bus 1 Hamlands or 1A Willingdon Trees (the stop is opposite Eastbourne Station in Gildredge Road) - you leave the bus at the stop called Northiam Road.
