Truffles Cafe

Exceptional service!! Was asked immediately if anyone had food allergies when my drink order was taken. First place I was at that I could eat everything from the bread in the beginning to the French onion soup to the ribs with mashed potato and green beans and topped it of with dessert. Highly recommend stop when in Hilton Head.

There are several locations of Truffles. We went to the one on Pope Avenue. The food was great (make sure to save room for the gf chocolate cake/brownie ....it was divine). Our waitress was pretty knowledgeable about the gf and tried very hard. I asked a lot of questions and double checked everything before I ate it because she didn't always seem 100% sure. Having said that, no mistakes were made, my food was great and I would go back.

Waiter couldn't find gluten free options list. Hostess had told me when I called they had a separate gluten free menu. They don't. I swear I ate a crouton in my salad.

No separate gf menu but had many options that the waitress presented including gf pasta and bread. My salad did arrive with croutons even with the gluten alert, however they were quick to get me a new one. no gf dessert options except vanilla ice cream.

Hostess had almost no idea what I was talking about. Waitress wasn't confident in responses. Gluten free Menu being revised. GF pasta and bread. Just sandwich slices but nice to have. Shrimp pasta dish good.

This is a very fine restaurant! The waitstaff is knowledgeable about gluten free requirements. The restaurant serves gluten free pasta and offers gluten free bread. I had linguini with shrimp. Delicious! No problems at all. I will definitely go back.

Many options, including gluten free bread and pasta. Staff was very helpful and considerate of food allergies.
