1st time to this chain-I am hyper sensitive to gluten- as if “just celiac”isn’t enough…. The manager, Rami Zeort, was so friendly and helped me to navigate a gf dinner choice- mostly no gf choices, but he advised what could be made- the chef came to our table and also helped! I had a grilled chicken sandwich on gf bread that was amazing! The appetizer choices had melted pimento cheese, but the nachos are not gf- the chef prepared fresh celery and carrot sticks to dip in the cheese- fantastic!!! I highly recommend this restaurant/the food, the staff, the service all excellent- a shout out to our wonderful server, Gillian! Next time we pass through Franklin/Cool Springs TN, oh, yah, going to stop here for a meal! I
Not a lot of GF choices, but menu items are clearly marked and they are knowledgeable about cross-contact. Foods that would normally be gluten free (e.g., Brussels sprouts) are not listed as GF because they are fried in same oil as gluten containing items.
For breakfast, this is no go. Nothing on the menu. I had eggs, bacon, and grits that I'm still not positive were gf. Not a lot of food for $13. Waitress was not informed and did nothing to help me find other options. I've been for dinner and have found more options. Not for breakfast.
Very good GF selections - chicken, fish and pork, plus a variety of sides. Everything was fresh and well prepared. I have celiac disease and have not been cross contaminated here.
UPDATE: they now have an expanded menu with multiple items marked gluten free. It was so good!!!
The staff was knowledgeable about their gluten free offerings and the difference between gluten free preference and allergy. Shout out to Thea who asked the kitchen about a grilled chicken taco because I wasn’t feeling a salad. Didn’t get sick. Only 4 stars because they could use some more options.
Emma, our server, was very kind and helpful but they're not very accommodating for GF. We went Saturday at lunch and they were serving from their brunch menu. The GF items were all egg breakfast dishes. Not what I was hoping for. I asked and was given a lunch menu but there wasn't much more in GF there. I ate their grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and havarti minus the bun with a side of cheese grits. The chicken was moist and tasty but it was a lot of work to get out of the chef it was GF. I had higher hopes of Tupelo Honey. They proclaim loudly they buy local and serve fresh products. I thought a place like that would be better equipped and understanding of GF.
Only 2 gluten free options on the menu 1 salad and 1 spicy egg dish. They do have a GF Texas toast they can use on their lunch sandwiches.
Went for dinner. GF options are noted on menu, very little to choose from. I asked if I could get a certain salad and what they would need to omit to remove gluten. Waitress rudely told me that if it didn't say GF on the menu, she couldn't help me. Won't be back. Other Tupelo Honey locations are better.
Great atmosphere and tasty food. The portion size felt a bit small for the price. They note gf on the menu, but they actually have a gf menu online that helped.
They had a Full gluten free menu with quite a bit of choice. I had the shrimp po boy and feta cheese grits which was delicious!
Many great GF options including bun and bread. Also several good entrees that I will try in the future.
They do have a new GF menu that describes all the options, along with gluten free bread. Anything fried is not safe due to cross contamination, but this is clearly marked on the menu. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about it!
Had a wonderful lunch with family. Love having a place I do not have to worry about contamination of gluten.
Limited options but I had a salad that was good.
