Ugly Dumpling

I haven’t had dumplings since being celiac! They were great, gluten free soy sauce served in a different colour pot. I wasn’t asked about ‘allergies’ when I ordered and the website states a high chance of cross contamination which I knew before I ordered. Shame the lunch deal doesn’t include the gluten free menu. Cannot comment on safety as didn’t see the kitchen but GF came out on separate coloured plates. My friend had the tempura aubergine which the waitress said was GF and I could try - highly recommend this. I had chicken satay, pork belly, prawn and chive and the mushroom and truffle (this was my favourite). Unfortunately we were too full for desert, those little dumplings are filling but I would definitely go back!

The prawn and chive was the best dumpling. Tried the pork belly and chicken satay as well, which were ok. The gf ugly noodles were also a worthwhile side dish as well.

Really impressed by the protocol here. All the gf dishes are served on the same color dishes, so it’s clear to the kitchen and serving staff that car needs to be taken without the obvious othering of food coming out flagged. The staff were really clued in - I ordered a bottle of ginger beer, which had barley malt in it, and as soon as the server set it down she picked it back up and whisked it away, remembering that I said I had coeliac.

Were these the best dumplings I’ve ever had? No. Did I get sick? Also no. So I’ll take it as a win since gf dumplings are so hard to find. Ample gf sides as well which were yummy!

Gluten free menu was nice to see. Though I had low confidence on delivery to the table. Labels or specifically calling out the dishes are GF would be appreciated. Found the menu confused and the flavours were not amazing.

Full gluten free menu! GF dumplings were delicious. They also serve regular dumplings so no guarantees on cross contamination in the kitchen

Whole GF menu of dumplings. Expensive but absolutely delicious. Can't guarantee no cross contamination but I've been twice and never been ill, despite being really sensitive.
