Umai Sushi

Umai Sushi has a large gluten free menu, I have ordered many times. I like to switch things up, but my favourites that I have tried here have been the Philly rolls, spicy tuna/salmon rolls, cucumber avocado roll, or the cones. They have dozens of options, I am not sure what is listed online but their physical menu in the restaurant has lots of gluten free and vegan options available. They offer gluten free soy sauce. They take allergies very seriously, and are very knowledgeable about cross contamination and other allergies. My partner has a fish allergy, and I have celiac, yet they were always able to accommodate both allergies. There was only one time when they added a decoration that was made out of flour, and when I asked about it and explained it wasn’t safe, the lady was very unapologetic and did not bother replacing my food. Eventually another server came by and took it very seriously and insisted on replacing the dish. Overall, mostly positive experiences and they are very polite and knowledgeable. They even offer some pre-packed sushi rolls that are gluten free in the cooler case by the register, which are super easy to grab for lunch! Can’t stop recommending this place!
