We were initially at the Westwood location, but they said their dedicated GF fryer was down so we came to the OPark location. I assumed they had dedicated fryers, but didn’t ask specifically. Got the G.O.A.T and Cali tacos on corn tortillas along with the GF fries. It was all delicious.
As someone else said, a nice choice of gluten free options but not really sure why. They don’t separate prep and they don’t have dedicated fryer. I ordered an impossible taco and found a French fry in the taco. They made me a new one, but little confidence it was not contaminated. Everyone else enjoyed their food, however I would not recommend for celiacs.
They do have several gluten free menu items but no dedicated fryer so I’m always so disappointed I can’t have the fries it doesn’t feel worth my time to go.
They also have a statement in the menu about all food prepped in the same space. On the one hand I appreciate the transparency, but on the other it clearly doesn’t sound like a space where I can ease my worry about cross contact.
My fiancé and I ate at the Unforked location in Overland Park a couple of weeks ago. Decent selection on the menu, and the food was good. However, I order two tacos and one of the tacos came with a flour shell. I specified both times that I ordered that I have Celiac/a gluten allergy, and on our ticket it was not noted AT ALL. What was even worse was the place was not even busy. They apologized after my fiancé brought it to their attention, but if it wasn't this mistake honestly I could see cross contamination being an issue as well. Good GF food, just not something I would consider Celiac safe.
This is my favorite place to get a burger and ice cream! I have never had a better gluten free bun in my life (it’s thin, moist, and delicious). Since their fries and chips are cross contaminated, I usually get a side kale salad with my burger. Their tacos are amazing as well and they have a variety of healthy sodas (I recommend coconut). The staff is very knowledgeable and will make sure to check to verify that ingredients are gluten free. I would highly recommend this restaurant!!
I'm always really happy with their gluten-free burgers and tacos. Recently, I decided to order a plain vanilla concrete (with my gluten-free order), thinking it would be safe. Two bites in, however, I realized that there were brownie crumbs throughout it! I had to throw it away. :(
This is the only place that satisfies my fast food burger cravings. The bun is thin and soft, not spongy at all. It stays intact. You can smush the bun just like a real burger. I love the tacos, but I can get good tacos lots of places. I have driven 30 minutes out of my way for that burger.
It's been awhile since I felt comfortable getting a burger somewhere! This one was good. Side note I am taking a parasite-stroy medication so not sure how celiac impacted. The med is really helping with my celiac symptoms!
I have celiac disease and I thought this place was outstanding! Great variety of gluten free items... even drinks! prices are super reasonable and not to mention their burgers are on point. It's been a while since I've had a burger that good with all fresh ingredients. I highly recommend this place for people with celiac.
Not a ton of options and only a few knowledgable servers. Be sure to ask a lot of questions! Twice I have ordered things and the cooks changed my order (after talking to me...but after I paid) because it was actually safe.
We have to avoid gluten. Their menu has one burger and a few taco choices. The burger was tiny and they put a lot of some kind of sauce on the bun, so I had to eat the burger with no bun. We also got what was supposed to be a taco that was a corn shell and avocado. Won't be back!!
Several GF choices on the menu. I was impressed with the fresh ingredients. I got the bass boom & the barkin pig tacos. Both were absolutely wonderful & just $4 each.
Best gluten free burger!!! We also get the fries they say they are not made in a seperate frier but they don't have any items on the menu that are gluten to get in it. I assume they mean they fry other gluten free products like corn tortillas in the fryer. We have never had a problem. There custard is also gluten free but per chef do no get toppings due to risk of cross contamination.
Entree was good but there were no GF options on the menu of sides. This was a disappointment. Would have given the restaurant a 5 if they had some additional options for sides. I would also recommend ordering 2 tacos if you can't order a side.
They get alot of their ingredients from local vendors and farmers, even their beef is GF. Their menu is mostly burgers and chicken/beef tacos and ice cream, concretes and smoothies. Do wish they would carry non-dairy ice cream options, like coconut milk ice cream from So Delicious or NadaMoo. If more requests came in maybe they would carry it ;-)!
very reasonable prices ( about $10 per person for a complete meal ) menu labels show gluten free options and there are many to choose from; including HAMBURGERS on gluten free buns that taste like normal hamburgers
Great food and a menu that clearly states gluten free and gf options. I've eaten there many times and never had any gluten related problems.
