Unfortunately I had a reaction after eating here. I checked multiple times that it was gluten free and told them I was celiac. I have a somewhat sensitive stomach so I can’t 1000% say it was gluten but I’m pretty sure, sadly. It was delicious while it lasted though lol
Delicious! Any pasta dish (without meatballs) can be ordered GF. Glad we stopped.
We had delicious pasta with a fun wine list. and we tried two of the non-cake/cookies gelato flavors. gorgeous view in the pleasant solarium.

Ate in The Grotto” for lunch on a Friday It was lovely. Really really good pasta (the Carbonara was amazing!) and also accommodated my picky sons request for sauce on the side The gluten eater in our group had a sandwich he said was good. Server was knowledgeable and friendly.
Staff was super knowledgeable and kind about GF selections! Super awesome place and super delicious. Any pasta can be made GF and they even have a GF meatball option I believe!

We had a great experience! I was able to order GF noodles for my son and the waitress assured me they were cooked in a gluten free pot. Waitress was very knowledgeable about the regular menu and dessert menu. Made dining out easy!
Had a great experience at Va Bene! All of their pasta dishes can be made with GF noodles. All their sauce are GF as well. I asked about the meats and only the meatballs are not GF. Not many safe appetizer options though
Staff is very knowledgeable, gluten free pasta is DELICIOUS. It can be used in most of the pasta dishes. Definitely make a reservation if you’d like to have a view of the lake.

Every main pasta dish was available gluten free. I got the carbonara with chicken, and it was delicious! The noodles were cooked well and all their sauces are made fresh from scratch. Our server was very knowledgeable about gluten allergies and even knew which gelato I could and could not have
Almost every main dish could be made with gluten free noodles. We were told they had just switched to a new egg based gluten free noodle this weekend. Excellent gf noodle. They were very careful and we had no reaction. Make a reservation ahead of time. We were able to note celiac on our reservation and both the person taking the reservation and our server were extremely knowledgeable about celiac and gluten free dining. Reservations definitely needed if you want one of their tables for two overlooking Lake Superior. We ordered Arrabiata Al Padres Ricardo and Conchigle Con Funghi both delicious. Appetizers were limited however. Was too full to enjoy their desserts.

I have ate here many times and never had a reaction. Wonderful food; all of their pasta dishes can be made gluten free. They also have a wonderful wine list. My only complaint is that they don’t have a GF bread option for the oil and vinegar before the meal.
Delicious. They use separate water for the GF pasta and make sauces from scratch. We loved the pasta with the balsamic and marscapone sauce. Fabulous crème brûlée and a complementary gelato for my birthday. The pistachio was excellent. #GFTCMN

Lovey little place with friendly staff, great view and delicious food. Host and server walked me through what was celiac safe on the menu. There were lots of choices. All of their pasta sauces are gluten free and they can serve them with gluten free penne that is cooked separately. Yummy gelato for dessert. Nice Italian wine list too.
All the pasta sauces can be ordered with gluten free pasta so there are options here. The gluten free pasta though is tough and not the best flavor so would recommend you look for something else.
Best gluten free pasta I have had. Server was knowledgeable about gluten issues and let me know what was safe to order. I can't give enough stars for this great experience.
First off great service, server steered me away from an item with gluten, sadly I chose the most expensive item the beef tenderloin which I had to send back twice due to being over cooked, then under. I must note I am an avid home cook and food snob, it just did not. feel worth 30 dollars, it was under seasoned and the sides were mediocre. the view is lovley. go here for wine at sunset and a salad. Chef came out to talk with me and apologize that the steak was not cooked to my liking.
Hard to decide what to eat - everything sounds delicious! Gluten free pasta can be ordered with any of the pasta dishes. The waitress said all the other ingredients would be gluten free. My food was fantastic! Great view of Lake Superior. Feel like I may have been glutened, though. I will definitely try it again to be sure.
