Valleyfair

The menu appears to offer gluten free options, but I would not reccommend for celiac. I emailed valleyfair in advance and never recieved a response back. I called and was informed of gf food options but valleyfair didn't seem knowledgable about cross contamination and shared fryers not being gluten free. Many items marked gluten free but fried in a shared fryer. I didn't have trouble bringing in my own snacks though. I didn't feel confident in their ability to prepare safe gluten free foods so never tried anything from the park.

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Poor

I got a yearly meal pass here 2 different years since it was close to my work. One year it saved me money and the food was good but the next time I honestly lost money on it. The first year I did it before Covid so all their stands were open. They have gf at different ones. Some places felt safer to order from than others. Basically they have gf fried chicken tenders and gf burger buns & hot dog buns as the options with the food plan. They had gf cookies but they don’t qualify with a food plan and have to be purchased separately. Plus they are prepackaged so not very tasty but at least they are safe. Snoopy was the best location as they had the chicken fingers fried in their own oil & fries were gf too. Other stands may have the chicken fingers & fries but they aren’t safe because fried in oil with other things. The second year I went it wasn’t as good because of covid. They were short staffed so people didn’t understand what gf was & thought they didn’t have it because they weren’t well trained. They also shut down almost all of the gf stands. The only place offering gf ended up being in the water park area. Which you had to register separately to get in there at the time. Which made it difficult to get food. I had to beg the guys at the gate to just let me through to get food even though I wasn’t going to the water park. It Became less safe and I got sick a few times. So used to be good but since covid they decreased in quality. I haven’t gotten a meal plan since then & don’t plan to in the future.

— Good

A pathetic attempt to please a tending food diet. Experiences here include ; Tenders fried in same fryer, none of the GF stands open, ran out of GF buns, and extremely limited GF options. Popcorn and cola was it. Please Plan Accordingly!!!
