Advertised as having gluten free pasta. However, they don’t change the water. My celiac kid even explained how that cross contaminated the gf pasta and he was told, “well. You can have a salad.”Yea. That’s what every 17 year old kid wants.
The chef was super careful when preparing my pasta. He changed gloves and used all new utensils. He even refused to assist another chef who needed his help handling some bread because he knew I was coeliac. Watching him prepare the dish in front of my eyes was also great for peace of mind! Very impressed with the level of understanding, especially considering I don’t even speak German.
Several salads and other options gluten free.
Plenty of options including pasta and pizza. The pasta I had came in a separate bag and the chef cleaned the pan and work area before opening it. Seemed fairly aware of contamination and what I could or couldn’t have. If they had gluten free beer I would of given 5 stars.
Has Gf Pizza and noodles. the flour you see everywhere is from rice or maize. if you ask them to make something Gf they dont cook anything elsd at that space and clean it before. rice and noodles are precooked, so they wont get into contact with the water.
The staff did not have any training about cross contamination. To make the gf pasta, the chef was grabbing chopped vegetables by hand from the same containers he used for gluten-full dishes. No glove changes, utensils, or separate bins for gf ingredients. I assumed this is a problem with pizzas too. Didn’t feel comfortable eating here so we left.
Food ok, long wait on queues as it’s order at a shelf and cooked in front of you. We waited 10 mins for pizza but 45 for pasta despite being more pasta windows. Staff quite rude and inattentive. Pasta came in separate tray which was good to know for safety. Pasta was steamed in bag but was undercooked and cold.
Friendly staff, they have a lot of options and know what they do
Really nice pizza here. I had the tuna pizza and was impressed with the amount of tuna they put on, as some places can often skimp on it. The gf base was also very good. It is cooked in a separate dish but in the same oven as the normal pizzas.
They bake the pizzas in the same oven as the non-gluten-free pizza. Sometimes I get a bad reaction, sometimes not. The staff changes the gloves when handling the pizza, the pizza itself comes on a disposable aluminum tray which is also used to bake the pizza. Still in the same oven. I am very allergic and I have 50% success rate not to get sick from the pizza. If you are just intolerant, this place is perfect. If you are celiac and very allergic, I would think twice.
Three of us are gluten free- we ate gluten free pizza and a anti pasta salad. No one got sick, was good and not too expensive. Not everyone seemed to know about gluten free/cc but the individual making the pizzas was.
At the vapiano nearby station it was none celiac friendly de dude who made the pizza (blackdude with long rasta hair) didnt change his gloves he diddnt care at all about the celiac i think he also doesnt know wat it is! He looked like he hated his job he was so demotivated. So watch out who's helping you!!!! I was very very sick afterwords. Not okay! The woman who made the pasta did a good job so thats why i gave 2 stars.
This pasta restaurant in the main foodcourt has gluten free options, mainly risotto and salads. The staff is careful to prevent cross contamination on food if you mention that you are celiac or have allergies. Great tasting food. This is a chain in Prague with many outlets. Will go back
Already known in germany for celiac-aware gluten free pizza and pasta, this is a treat as the pizza is sooo good I can’t tell it apart from regular pizza. Any topping from the menu just ask for the gluten free pizza base. Missed the gluten free beer tho, hence only 4 stars.
Vapiano is a chain, operating a self service model where you queue up at stations to order and watch your food made in front if you. They change utensils and pans for every customer, so all gf pasta and risotto dishes are free from cross-contamination. Pizzas are made on separate trays so are safe for coeliacs too. My coeliac husband has never had a reaction.
Italian restaurant chain offering gluten free pasta and pizza, risotto etc. Nice enough food for a chain. No table service. You que at a cooking station and order directly with the chef. You can then inform them of your allergies directly and watch them cook!
Excellent pasta and pizza. It has a unique system where you get a little RF card when you come in and then you use it to pay for things around the store. When we went (which was 3pm on a Monday) it was very crowded which I suspect it is always very crowded. Don't come here if hangry or in a rush! Otherwise a fantastic italian GF experience!
They had delicious GF pizza’s and they were made in folio packages so they didn’t touch the oven as the rest of the pizza’s. 100% dedicated.
Staff is knowledgeable. Gluten free pizza’s baked in a tin foil basket, which may have been the best pizza I’ve had. Pasta available as well, however you should ask to have it prepared separately and with clean tools/gloves. They are willing to do this.
Went to one of the locations close to accommodation. Had the bolanase pasta which was overcooked. The sauce wasn't the greatest either. A good point I didn't have a reaction. An option if you can't find anything else.
This Vapiano is definitely not schooled enough to take care of celiacs. Been there 3 times, and each time stuff was badly informed, once products which should be never out of stock were not available at the cooking station and nobody bothered taking a look in the storage. Once the pizzaolo told me gf Pizza is out of stock, his manager noticed this and brought pizza from the storage. Once they made normal pizza and assured me it was gluten free, so I believed them and had pains and other typical celiac problems for 3 days. I reported this to the HQ, but nothing happened.
Typisch Vapiano. Essen geschmacklich super, Personal geschult und hier passte im Gegensatz zu anderen Vapianos auch die Wartezeit.
Had gluten free pasta. May see if they have pizzas next time.
Part of the Italian restaurant chain, offering gf pizza, pasta and risotto. Gf pizzas are baked on separate trays in the oven, so safe to eat for coeliacs. It is self-service and you watch the staff make your pasta and risotto in front if you - they use fresh pans and utensils for every customer.
Wondeful place to eat! They knew exactly what I was asking for and very careful in the preparation of my food. Best Gluten Free Pizza I have had and the salad was heavenly. The salad was huge and the pizza was full size. Highly Recommed It.
