The moment you order a gluten free pasta or pinsa, they do take care that there is no crosscontamination. No additional reqests needed. I did not have a reaction although I am quite sensitive. As about the food: well, its Vapiano. I find it always okayish and fair. So I do return to this chain from time to time. However if you’re looking for gastronomic experience, probably it is not the place for you.

This Vapiano is definitely not schooled enough to take care of celiacs. Been there 3 times, and each time stuff was badly informed, once products which should be never out of stock were not available at the cooking station and nobody bothered taking a look in the storage. Once the pizzaolo told me gf Pizza is out of stock, his manager noticed this and brought pizza from the storage. Once they made normal pizza and assured me it was gluten free, so I believed them and had pains and other typical celiac problems for 3 days. I reported this to the HQ, but nothing happened.

Samen met mijn zoon pizza gegeten bij Vapiano Utrecht. Beiden zijn wij gluten en melk intolerant. Ipv kaas heb je de optie om veganistische kaas op de pizza te doen. De glutenvrije bodems worden in een aluminium bak geserveerd. Beiden geen klachten gehad na het eten bij Valiano.
Ze kunnen nog verbeteren door per ingrediënt van de pizza / pasta aan te geven welke allergenen het bevat.

They had gluten free pasta and pizza. I got pizza and it was fine. Pretty standard gluten free, kinda tasted like a store bought pre cooked gluten free pizza crust. It was cool that they had so many options though.

Man konnte zugucken, wie das “glutenfreie” Pinsa zubereitet wurde.. es wurden abwechselnd glutenhaltige und mein “glutenfreies” Pinsa angefasst, sodass mit Sicherheit eine Kreuzkontamination vorlag. Konnte das Pinsa nicht essen.

I have eaten here a few times. The quality and taste varies, but it is usually okay. Currently they are using a Schär dough for gluten free pinza. Unfortunately, it seems that the risk of cross-contamination also varies, since I had a reaction after my last visit. The other 8 or so times, I had no problem. Still, I will make sure to stress the fact, that I have celiac disease next time.
