My wife says “amazing! I love it there!” Each time we’ve been, we’ve had knowledgable, informed service people that make sure to communicate your allergy with those that need to know in the restaurant. The food is great, and there’s something tasty for everyone (lots of veggie options!)

Vatos is great but I never pinned them as particularly stellar in the gluten free department but last time I was in, the person making the food overheard me say gluten free and asked "Celiac?" When I said yes, they said they'd be sure to clean the space for me. While I was eating I noticed they have a food safety certificate up. Kudos on keeping it safe for allergen folk, Vatos! 👏

Great place in old town if you’re looking for something quick. I have eaten here many times and haven’t gotten sick, but always tell them that you are Celiac so that they are taking the proper precautions!

(Update 12-21: They've changed their menu to have "Celiac friendly" and "Gluten friendly" options, marking what is free of cross contamination and what isn't! I come here weekly and haven't gotten sick once.)
Most of their tacos are or can be made GF! It's all marked on the menu clearly with a red GF symbol. The cashier knew exactly what to do when I said I have celiac and made a note of it for the cooks to change gloves and make sure everything was clean. I got a carne asada and a carnitas taco and they were SO flavorful and delicious and best of all I didn't get sick! The line was pretty long but it was a Saturday night, and even then they were pretty fast. I can't believe it took me so long to try this place but I'll definitely be back soon. *Be sure to tell them you have an allergy or celiac, otherwise they won't know to keep your food separate.
Another update: They've changed their menu back to just GF with no mention of celiac, but this is because it isn't certified They still take the same precautions and can make almost every taco GF!

Any tacos can be made gluten free but most are already gluten free as they use corn tortillas. 3 tacos have fried stuff on them but can be made gluten friendly. Chips and dips are gluten free as well. Got the jackfruit, chicken, and carne asada tacos and all were very good.

I had GF chicken tacos and chips with guacamole and felt good! I am very sensitive to any trace of gluten. I would return.

5 stars for the fact that they label their menu with a C for celiac friendly! 3 stars for food quality but honestly if you are in need of a quick bite to eat this place is perfect.

Everything is delicious. Gluten free options are clearly marked. If you order delivery, they don’t always put the gluten free items in a separate container. Other than that, it’s great.

This was a great gf place to stop! Almost everything had an option for me, and it was all delicious, especially if you like spicy. They told everyone in the kitchen, and they made sure everything wasn't contaminated.
