I ate there recently and wasn't glutened :). The lady taking my order didn't know what celiac was but marked my order gluten allergy. Glad to see both the ticket and the pizza box marked for gluten allergy. The consistency of the pizza wasn't what I remembered from my gluten eating days but was ok for gluten-free.

I order two times. And the taste is really good but don’t worded, I have the worst night in my life and wake up with black tongue for food poison

Went to the via 313 on e 6th. Server was so nice and knowledgeable but informed me that if I am celiac that I shouldn’t eat there as they use the same pans all night for gluten free and regular pizzas. I’m so glad he was honest and informed though

AMAZING!!! Best pizza we've had since finding out my wife has a gluten intolerance.
The dough is soft on the inside and perfectly crunchy on the outside!
We had the Cinnamon sticks too and they were amazing. Plus I had a Gluten removed beer which was great!

Been here many times and never had a bad experience with cross-contamination or anything like that. Staff is knowledgeable about celiac and precautions. They do their best to keep things separate. This is the BEST GF pizza you’ve probably ever had. GF cinnamon sticks available too.

I can not explain how good this pizza is! Absolutely the BEST gluten-free pizza I have ever eaten, but it is also vegan! I seriously don't know how they got it so airy and fluffy but crispy on the outside. We had the roasted cauliflower and broccoli for an appetizer, then I had the herbivore with dairy free cheese. For dessert, we had cinnamon sticks with maple sauce to make them dairy free. Just fabulous!

We ordered several gluten free pizzas and it was the best gf pizza ever. The Detroit style crust was perfectly airy inside, crunchy outside. The server was really great, provided a lot of helpful information. They did accidentally brought out the wrong pizza - with gluten - thankfully I didn't eat it. They came out quickly when they realized it and took care of it. Just be sure to double check on the pizza if someone besides your server delivers it.

I was a bit cautious after reading the last few negative reviews. It’s true that the prices are very high, my single pizza (slightly smaller than a regular piece of printer paper) was $22 with tip. Huge bummer, as usual, the gf surcharge is a killer. I was also hesitant about the cross contact before I ordered because of the last review saying nothing was safe from cross contact. However, after calling and speaking to a manager, I did feel ok eating there. I’m a celiac and take my dietary needs very very seriously, so I spoke to the manager at length about making my pizza safely. Apparently the owners daughter is a celiac, so they have tried to make everything tasty and accessible for us celiacs. The manager assured me that the pizza would be prepared in a separate clean space, with separate utensils and fresh condiments, and that they would supervise it to ensure this would happen. I also always request that the top of the pizza is wrapped over and covered by foil when cooking so that the chance of flour in the air is minimized. They’re cooked in dedicated pans too. So as for precautions, I felt safe. I ordered the herbivore, again came out to $22, and it’s so hard to say it wasn’t worth the price, because c’mon, how often can we eat out at a pizza place, especially in a city we’re not from?? But it was thick, which was not my style (I prefer it thin, extra cheesy and greasy as all get out). The veggies on top were good, and I definitely still liked it- after all, it was pizza- but it wasn’t my favorite place I’ve been here. My favorite pizza in Austin so far has been at Austin’s Pizza south Lamar location, which I detailed in another review on my profile, if you’re interested. But I would go back to Via 313 if my friends wanted to, they really liked the leftover pizza that I didn’t finish. So definitely worth a try if you put in the work and chat with a manager to make sure it’s safe.

Its been a loooong time since I have felt Ripped Off like this place left me. If you are Gluten free, prepared to get waaaay overcharged for a few slices of pizza. If I would have opened the box before I left the building, I would have asked for my money back. Avoid this place or at High Cost. 2 small boxes with only 4 small slices for $45.
I’m a bit mortified there are so many positive reviews for this chain. Every time I have attempted to eat at a Via 313 location I have been told by the management staff that their gluten free options are cross contaminated and not safe for those with celiac.
No
The staff was very accommodating. I mentioned that the gluten free pizza was for an allergy and they assured me they would change cutters and use a clean pan. Of course they use the same space and oven so they can’t guarantee. That’s a risk anywhere you eat. The crust was thick and delicious. The sauce and toppings were just okay. I had no noticeable reactions after eating here.
My favorite prizza in Austin. It’s a deep Detroit style and it’s amazing.
Definite cross contamination issues, was sick for 2 days after their gluten free crust. Delicious but not celiac friendly.

First time I’ve had a thicker crust pizza in 14 years. Love it!!!! Waitress was extremely nice too!!!! Would definitely recommend it!!
I wanted to love this place, but two times was enough to know it's not meant to be. One time they mixed up my order and served me a gluten-filled pizza, which wow, was an experience. The other time I felt glutened a few hours after for sure. I wouldn't trust them again. There's just too much cross contamination even if they don't accidentally ruin you with the wrong order. Yes celiac.
No
I did not have a reaction. Can't say it's 100% celiac safe tho. Detroit style pizza is my fav and VIA 313 did not disappoint.
Hands down THE BEST GF crust I have ever tasted. Perfectly topped with the right amount of sauce and toppings and made fresh. There's a bit of a wait while they bake it, but it's completely worth it!

My first trip to Austin and this was the place I was most excited about, being originally from Detroit. Ordered my pizza and asked if they cook it on something separate and if they use a separate cutter for the gf pizzas. He said they could do that. I paid and took my number to a table. He then came out and told me the gf dough comes into contact with the regular dough. I was confused and he said they are mixed in the same mixer and it's not cleaned in between. So I didn't take the chance eating it and got my money back. I'm super glad he told me that but also wish I would've tried another location. Didn't eat any.

They have gluten free bread- I wouldn't consider it pizza crust. It was basically cheese bread. Not worth the expensive price tag.
I love this pizza! The gluten free version is so good that my husband will split it with me instead of getting his own. They do share a kitchen with gluten, so for some who are hyper sensitive it might be a problem. Hi, I have Celiac and I have never had any trouble. Happy eating!
Yes
I've eaten at the Guadalupe location a couple of times now. Fantastic pizza, but both times I got glutened. I tried it again in hopes that something else had been the problem, but it was the pizza. I hope they can improve on cross-sontamination because ti would be really nice to have a thick-crust pizza again.

The pizza tastes great, but unfortunately it was too good to be true, and I got glutened. I'm pretty sensitive, but after all the good reviews thought I'd be safe here. Sorry guys, please be more careful about cross contamination.
Amazing! Absolutely amazing! I've eaten there twice this week, I haven't eaten pizza this good in years! No cross contamination - they took extra precautions to avoid it. I would eat it everyday if I could!
Food truck chefs are well aware of gluten allergies. They took special care to use a separate pan, clean the prep area and change utensils and gloves. The recipe for that dough is amazing. I finished the pizzas for breakfast in the morning and they were still so unbelievable. No reaction symptoms at all. A must have on a night out. And you're welcome to take your 'za into the Violet Crown.
Was so incredibly good that we had to go check and make sure they really were gluten free. Amazingly delicious!!!!
Really great Detroit style gluten free pizza! I never had any cross contamination issues here.
Yes
The best and only GF deep dish pizza I've ever had. Dairy free options, too.
Best gluten free pizza in Austin!
Love the gluten free pizza! So yummy!!!
Top notch pizza. Love the Greek pizza so much that I haven't ventured beyond it. Daughter of owner has gluten issue.
