Staff is very knowledgeable. Menu is clearly marked with multiple options. Shrimp and grits were cooked perfectly.
I consider myself and shrimp and grits connoisseur... had them here and they were easily top 3 I've ever had, including homemade. Atmosphere at Vic's is solid, drinks were great, servers were attentive. and portions are big enough to share. We stop by every time we're in Savannah.
Items are marked on the menu with - can be made gf. In my opinion that leaves room for error. Server had to double-check her sheet. Which also leaves room for error. But server was friendly & accommodating. Had the Shrimp & Grits. It was good, but a very creamy heavy meal. Very large serving. Would not get again.

I’ve been here twice since going GF, and never gotten sick. The servers usually ask right away if you have any allergies. The food is always delicious!
Amazing! Love the poached pear salad and shrimp and grits! Very gf friendly and accommodating.
Waiter wasn’t very receptive to questions and inquiries which made me nervous but everything turned out fine, the food was good and didn’t have any reaction. Seemed as though they could make just about anything on the menu with some alterations
Great gf experience! Waiter was knowledgeable about allergies and gluten before I even mentioned celiac. Menu was marked with gf items or items that easily could be modified to be gluten free. Order the chargrilled octopus and shrimp and grits. Both were delicious!
Lots of GF items available. I ate the best steak (filet mignon) I've ever had! They also had a huge selection of GF desserts - I topped my very full stomach off with Raspberry cheesecake! My meal was so delicious, I was sure it had to be too good to be true, but zero reaction! They really are that good.
So good ! They can accommodate your allergies and the food is very good!! Had the special- grouper with risotto. One of the best meals I had here.
They also accommodated my soy and canola allergies.
Atmosphere was very noisy but the food was good. Not a lot of choices for gluten free … I had shrimp n grits… it was ok.
I got a DELICIOUS steak, mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus! It was so yummy! They have a limited number of options available, but what they do have is well worth it! Extremely nice atmosphere, great wait staff, and little wait time. I would absolutely recommend and visit again!
Wonderful dinner. Staff was knowledgeable and very accommodating. They checked on the items we weren't sure of and happily made substitutions for questionable sides.
Food was delicious. Highly recommend this for a special dinner.

One of the best meals I have ever had. Great knowledge of celiac and protocol. The Shrimp and Grits was amazing!
I enjoyed a delicious and affordable lunch recently. The shrimp and grits were delicious! The server was attentive and knowledgeable about gluten allergies. Wonderful experience sitting at a table by the window.
A very upscale place but we went during lunch. Very knowledgeable about gluten free options. Shrimp and grits were ok. We had an amazing view of the river. My daughter did not get glutened after eating here
GF optional items are listed on the menu. The still managed to place something breaded as decoration on top of my ribs. Food was just ok. The server did ask if I had an allergy.
Beautiful restaurant, great service and with a commendable attempt at preventing cross-contamination. Unfortunately, the grits and sauce were completely unseasoned (tasteless) and the scallops so salty you couldn’t taste them. Which was a crime because they were otherwise perfectly cooked, sweet and fresh. Waitress was great, manager was snide. Can’t recommend for people with wheat sensitivity.
The wait staff was amazing and the food was delicious. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about gluten concerns and assured me that I was in good hands!

GF is not noted on the menu, but there were quite a few items that I could tell were likely GF Our server communicated with the kitchen and we enjoyed the scallops on risotto and short-ribs on mashed potatoes. Excellent!
Been here a few times now since Ive had very bad experiences in Savannah getting glutened.
Separate GF menu, pretty good options, haven't gotten sick eating here three times now.
Great food and service! Had the spicy shrimp appetizer, French onion soup and wedge salad! All tasted very good. Topped it off with a delicious crème brûlée!
Gluten Free Menu available at request. Gluten free alternatives for each plate. Server was very knowledgeable about celiac disease and informed us that couscous has wheat- so we learned that too. Delicious food !
Broke out in a rash after eating here even though everything I ate they told me was gluten free.
Gnats gnats gnats!! My husband killed three before I took these photos!!! We were very disappointed that we spend $200 on dinner and there were gnats flying around the entire time! Very disappointed. Server and staff were not concerned and only apologized for “gnats bothering you”. Would not go here again.
Many gf options. I had the blackened chicken with blue cheese & cheesy grits. Food was excellent. Only reason for the low star rating was the server had 0 customer service skills.
My fiancé and I were super excited to try this place but after our experience I would not go back. The menu offers items that could be prepared gluten free, I opted for a side salad and shrimp and grits for dinner and still ended up getting sick as could be. Not sure what accommodations are made in the kitchen as far as preparation goes so I would eat at your own risk.
Excellent soups and entrees. The staff was knowledgeable and patient. It’s not cheap, but good restaurants in Savannah are pretty expensive.
The food is delicious and there are several gluten free options available. Our waitress Sharese brought me a plate of fresh sliced cucumbers and tomatoes with white balsamic dressing since I couldn’t eat the biscuits. Excellent food and exceptional service.
Great gluten free options, excellent service and perfect southern atmosphere. Had shrimp and grits and poached pear salad. Items that could be made gluten free were marked and the tickets marked gluten free. Server stated gluten free when he brought us our meal, so it seemed they were pretty attentive to our needs.

Highly recommend Vic’s. I visit every time I’m in Savannah. French Onion Soup, Shrimp n Grits, and Black Grouper special are all to die for!!! Severe celiac and haven’t gotten sick here :)
No dedicated fryer. I ordered a steak to be safe. Cooked in a microwave. Green beans were great. Mash potatoes..left much to be desired. My husband who is not GF ordered grilled shrimp. He got boiled shrimp with no seasoning. Horrible food on both parts that’s after they tried to served us the wrong dinners. Fried shrimp and salmon. The manager even came when the wrong meal was given. But never come back. I would not serve any of this to anyone. Tried a different place. No pride in the food served. Paid our bill and left.
I had the pan seared fresh catch and it was spectacular. The items are marked GF on the menu and I didn’t feel worried. I didn’t get sick at all which is always great.
When I went to order the fried shrimp, which was marked gf on the menu, the waitress said it would be grilled instead because they did not have a dedicated fryer.
Ordered the braised short ribs which were amazing!
My husband informed the staff that I have Celiac disease. They were amazing! I got the special which was Halibut on risotto. Delicious,!

Lots of gluten free options on the menu. I was so happy with the pear salad and tomato bisque (so good!) but they had plenty of entrees too. Beautiful setting. Great service. Fair prices. I'll come back every time!
We walked over because they listed fried chicken & fried shrimp- they offered to grill it. Not the same... big waste of time!
No real glutenfree alternatives... just a burger without a bun. Not what we expected having read the reviews...
Very tasty food. We were able to have the halibut special which was nice to go someplace with gf specials. Nice atmosphere also.
This place was amazing the server was very knowledgeable and helpful... And the shrimp and grits were amazing.... My kids ordered a cheeseburger (no bun) and mashed potatoes to share and they brought it out already split on two plates for me
Do not go here if you are worried about cross contamination!! Ordered from gluten free menu got bowl of soup and I found a noodle in my onion soup ? Did they care ? Not really offer me anything to make up for it ? No did not charge me for soup but did not comp meal offer to do anything to make it right either !! Beware of this number one rated best gluten free 4 star establishment !! They did not seem to care and that was the manager😡 warning they do not care if they glutenize you !!

Great experience! Very accommodating to Celiacs and anyone with any type of food allergies with cross contamination issues! We went Saturday night. They ensured we were sat in the section of one of their most experienced servers as she is incredibly knowledgeable to every food item. Had GF options noted on menu. Had the beef carpaccio & french onion soup to start..absolutely amazing!!! Then had the cheerwine braised short ribs! Wow! And sweet potato creme brulee. Wow again! Great ambience, great location next to river! Great first night experience in Savannah. Highly recommend as a must go for anyone with gluten allergies!
