All of the food here is apparently Gluten Free, although idk if I can confidently call it a “Gluten free kitchen” because I did see someone from the kitchen staff walk out of the kitchen eating a sandwich. When you order at the counter, they say everything is gluten free. It’s kind of loud in there so I haven’t asked a ton of additional questions and idk what their protocols are or if they know about celiac. That being said, these are some of the best tacos I’ve ever had! You order at the counter and there is some outdoor seating but not a ton. No indoor seating. The line can be long but it moves quickly. This will def become part of my rotation but I do wish I had a little more confidence that there is no gluten in the kitchen now that I’ve seen someone walk out of the kitchen eating a sandwich.

Holy moly extreme yumminess! I brought some friends who are not GF and they also felt it was amazingly good. The handmade blue corn tortillas were delicious. I had the vegan trios and yum!!!

Me and my gluten-eating partner both got diarrhea a couple hours after eating here. I think it was probably a mild case of food poisoning, but I can't rule out that it was just some potent spices that my gut doesn't like.
That issue aside, I think the tacos here are the best I've ever had (with or without gluten)!
Note there is no indoor seating. A few picnic tables with umbrellas are available for outdoor seating. When visited at noon on a weekday these seats were hard to get due to the popularity.

Was a bit sketched out because of the lack of information on the website but this place is legit. Entire menu is gluten free. Some of the best tacos you have ever had in your life. Extremely busy and no seating so go at a non-rush time. One of the those places that is so good, it’s unbelievable that it’s gluten free.

I tried the chicken, beef, and pork tacos and they are all absolutely delicious! I’m a very sensitive celiac and they were completely gluten free! I love guacamole and the crunchy cheese was such an awesome touch. My whole family was happy with everything they ordered. Sooooo GOOD!

Reviews, awards, and the packed house don’t lie: this is a strip mall gem. I eat here whenever I come to LA. The vegan trio is great. The mulitas are heavy and greasy (tons of cheese & guac) but decadently delicious. Don’t be scared by the line. There is always a line outside, but it moves fast and service is quick. Limited seating, all outside. Just 2 blocks from Highland Park A line Metro, plus plenty of parking in the lot and a grocery store attached if you want other drinks or desserts.

I’m a little obsessed with this place…everything is gluten free and so so tasty. I had 3 different kinds of tacos & agua Fresca and everything slapped.

Amazing tacos!! They don’t list they are gluten free on their website or menu. Based on reviews from here I reached out via email to the restaurant to ask if they are gluten free and the owner responded that they were and lots of celiacs come and have no reactions. I didn’t react either. It was so good!

Amazing tacos! They don’t advertise gluten free, but when we called to ask about GF they sounded confident and mentioned celiac before we brought it up so staff seemed knowledgeable. Ate here without getting sick and so delicious!

I love Villa's! Have never gotten sick from Villa's and they have vegan options as well for my girlfriend. Their lime cucumber and jaimaca drinks are incredible but the highlight for me is the combo of 3 meat tacos with guac and cheese. Genuinely some of the most consistently high quality tacos I've had. Just make sure if you have a vegan member of your party to have them specify no cheese on the vegan platter!

Villa’s Tacos is 100 percent gluten free and is the best taco I’ve ever had in my life pre and post Celiac Disease diagnosis. They freshly make blue corn tortillas with every order and don’t use flour tortillas at all. I usually get the Villa’s trio and it’s SO good. The owner called every vendor to triple check that everything was gluten free after he found out how severe my reactions can be. I will say I steer clear of the pickled onions from the salsa bar (even though they should be gluten free) because I don’t do well with them. One more note, they don’t have indoor seating and the outdoor seating is limited so you may need to enjoy these in your car or take them home. SOOO WORTH IT THOUGH! Had some last night and want some again now lol.

Head over heels for Villa's. The cheese baked corn tortilla is primo. They're so generous with their ingredients. So much flavor and satisfying. Go hungry because the tacos are very filling. Sadly, I don't think this is a celiac friendly spot but I also didn't ask.
All GF taco stand, won best tacos in LA two years running (LA Taco). Yummy super loaded tacos on blue corn tortillas. They only use handmade corn tortillas here so it's a safe spot for GF (I'm Celiac so this is important). Fun vibes and atmosphere waiting in line at this family run stand, everyone was so nice. Hibiscus agua fresca not too sweet, which is perfect! Plus, a wide range of salsas. Look forward to trying a quesadilla and/or mulitas next -- these are tough to find gluten free. Be prepared to wait, but it’s quick once you order. Accept cash and Venmo.
