There was a lot of gluten free food choices (salad, dressings, rice, fish, poi, teriyaki (w/tamari) beef and pork)… basically, everything was gluten free with the exception of the potato mac salad, bread roll, and the desert cake. I spoke with the chef and she was willing to make me a fruit bowl for desert but I declined. The only and biggest issue I had with the luau was that it is buffet style and the risk of cross contact is high. When I originally booked they said it wouldn’t be a problem and they would have a separate plate prepared for me. When I got there no one could help with that and they kept referring me to speak with the chef. The chef was EXTREMELY helpful and let me go first to make a plate before the rest of the hundreds of people potentially contaminated the food. She also allowed the others in my party to come with me so I wouldn’t have to eat alone. Overall, the food was good and safe (assuming you get to go first).
