Editing review Coeliac chef has indeed left this kitchen, previously mentioned review now has no credibility. At this point I have not eaten here. The new owners have totally revamped this old pub and hired a coeliac chef to set up the menu. If the locals raving is anything to go on its totally worth a stop. Only gf food goes in the fryer. No

Went there last night (now called the Rose and Thistle Inn). Sadly no mention of Coeliac chef. Daughter wanted fish and chips which said gf on the menu. When asked about it the chips were beer battered and the batter not gf but could pan fry fish. Lost confidence in any of their gf options at this point and went next door for a curry instead!
