They were so accommodating at Waldhaus. Got the GF schnitzel käse with whipped potato. It also came with delicious beets and lingon berries. Everything was delicious!

During our stay at the Banff Springs we ate here twice. During both experiences the staff was helpful and knowledgeable about my needs. The night we arrived (in the late evening without another reservation) we ate in the pub. Had the braised short rib - was amazing!
Later in our stay we ate in the upstairs restaurant - terrace section. I had the GF Schnitzel and it was so good. I haven’t had schnitzel since I was diagnosed with celiac and I was so happy to have it again! They can do their entire signature 3 course meal (cheese fondue, entree, and chocolate fondue) GF. We skipped the cheese fondue but had schnitzel obviously and the chocolate fondue. They brought the pastries for the chocolate fondue separate from the fruit (which they gave us more of) and offered the split the chocolate into two different pots so my husband could dip his gluten-filled pastries. We declined (he instead drizzled the chocolate over them) and had a wonderful time and meal. 12/10 experience.

We had dinner here to celebrate a milestone birthday. We ordered the fondue and they brought out a separate little dish of cheese and gluten free bread and pickles for the celiac in our group. They also offered a gluten free schnitzel that was delicious. For dessert, they again separated the chocolate fondue for us so we could all enjoy without worry of cross contamination.

This restaurant is pricy but has great gluten free options if you want to splurge, including classic cheese fondue (with lovely gluten free bread, apples and pickles), schnitzel, and even a Black Forest cake dessert (albeit a bit heavy on the whipped cream to cake ratio for me). Other options like roesti and pickerel. They can do a gluten free burger for kids including bun. There is no dedicated fryer but they do a nice fried potato. Service was excellent.
