Great little spot! It was such a treat to be able to order a sandwich and trust their protocols. Will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!
Had a soup & fig/brie grilled cheese. Delish.

Nice little place. Quite a bit of deserts but in a shared display case, but at the top row....
Got a chicken club on a gf bun with a salad and a fruit freeze (blended peaches and ice) overall very tasty.

I am so impressed by this place! I used to come here for coffee before my celiac diagnosis and figured that if I couldn't get anything besides breakfast, it would still be worth a visit. Not only did they have some GF muffins and cookies, but they also have GF bread to make sandwiches with. I asked for a simple bacon and egg breakfast without toast and mentioned celiac. They offered GF toast and told me that it is made in a separate toaster in a separate area. The staff were aware of celiac and made a special note on my order. I felt very blessed to be able to enjoy breakfast at a restaurant!

We found this gem while on vacation. One of my sons is celiac and I am gluten sensitive. Our gluten-eating family members ordered pasta dishes. My son and I ordered grilled cheese and shared a gf cheesecake. Delicious, and I can say without hesitation the cheesecake was THE best gf version we have ever had!!!! Lots of gf options and I would definitely go back. FYI, the tables are first come first serve, so if you see an empty one, sit down quickly and then send someone to go order your food.

Great food. They use a separate panini press for their gluten free ones. I would definitely recommend.

Love this place. Delicious food with lots of options and always packed so you know it’s a hot spot. Not fully gluten free but they do a great job at making sure they are as careful as they can be with your food. One of the few places where you’ll actually see the gf baked goods above the gluten baked good to ensure nothing falls on it. Always uses separate tongs, etc.
Wendel’s is very good for gluten free packaged foods, (cookies, pies, desserts, muffins) but I have never had something prepared from the kitchen.

I am celiac, the staff are very knowledgeable and careful to inquire if it’s an allergy or just a preference. Love eating here and have never been sick from it.

I've yet to have any sort of reaction from eating at Wendel's, but they do warn me every time about cross contamination. Hopefully it never happens! Their GF wraps were the best thing in the world, but they've since changed their tortillas and I'm desperately missing the old ones. So soft and squishy. Better than 'normal people' wraps. Maybe they'll go back to them and I'll go back to thinking they're 4 stars lol. Their baristas are also pretty decent.

This was one of my favourite restaurants to eat at prior to my diagnosis with celiac disease a few years ago and it's even more so now. We don't live in Fort Langley but we have family nearby so whenever we head to that area from nearby Vancouver we try to schedule in a stop at Wendel's. It never disappoints. All three others in my party had sandwiches today and said they were delicious. I had the California Chicken Salad and it was SO GOOD. Fresh ingredients, crispy bacon, tender chicken, lots of veggies. We had just come back from four days of a family vacation in a small town with limited GF options and I was SO HAPPY to feel safe eating a tasty meal again. I also love their frozen desserts that are available in a variety of grocery stores like Whole Foods, Save on Foods, etc. The chocolate pecan tarts, brownies, Nanaimo bars, caramel cheesecake and s'mores bars are all delicious. They're my go-to dessert since diagnosis and I'm so happy to have them both in Fort Langley and in the freezer section of my grocery store.

Sweet quaint spot! But I ate the butter chicken with rice and was sick for days! Delicious but not for gluten intolerant or celiacs. They state it's gluten free, but apparently it's not😔
No
Had the most delicious Vegetable, Bacon and Cheese Omelette with GF Bread and Tomato Slices. She said the Hash Browns were not GF. The soups are also excellent! They have several GF sweet options such as muffins, bars, pies and cookies.

I do not have celiac disease, but am allergic to gluten. I was told by staff that they do take measures to ensure there is no cross contamination. They offer almost every sandwich with gluten free bun or wrap. It's all delicious and beautifully presented. Well worth the $$.
Charming place--great atmosphere!! I was there before they had their GF menu, but the muffin I had with my coffee was great.
