What's the Scoop?

This is ice cream made by hand and in small batches. It doesn't get any better. I would like to see more variety in flavor choices. That's the only thing I could pick on. They are very good about making it clear, up front, what's vegan, gluten free, or sorbet. They mark it on the board with a V, G, or S. They asked us what flavors we wanted to try, and honestly we pretty much tried ninety percent of them. LOL It was our first visit, and I had no idea what I wanted. The taste samples are good sized. We shared all but the first one, once we realized that was the case. They were very patient and friendly. There was no forty minute wait, as S&S has, and the prices were pretty on par; perhaps a bit cheaper on the pints. We purchased four pints (2 nights worth with 2 teens to share with), and two individual scoops for $38. I'm pretty sure we paid more at the aforementioned competitor when we tried them. Granted, I saw no vinegar or blue cheese flavored ice creams, but I was not a fan of them anyway. The location is very convenient, just down the street from New Seasons and less then a mile away from Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. There is limited seating inside, much like most ice cream shops. There isn't much more to say. Creamy ice cream, with just the right amount of sweet and some unique flavors, with friendly service. Check them out.
