very unpopular opinion but i was really unimpressed by this place. it was really expensive and honestly not as good as i expected. i’ve had a lot of better gluten free options elsewhere. maybe i just came on an off day. i do love that they’re 100% gluten free though! love having the option in the city, just sad they also got rid of dine in at their new location.

Owner Response

Hello, regardin the prices: We also wish we could charge less. Unfortunately, our costs have gone up with everyone else’s, including labor costs. We pay our staff as fairly as we possibly can—-though not as much as we know they deserve! To make sure our food is truly celiac safe, all the menu items are made from scratch: the baked goods, the soups and everything else. Gluten free flours cost several times more than wheat flour, and wholesale prices for meats, fruits, vegetables and all other ingredients have increased significantly over the last few years. That’s just the reality we live with. Our prices are as low as they have to be to keep Wheat’s End going for the community we’re here to serve.
