Psuedo-gluten free. Yes, the menu offers GF pizza crust and GF buns, but other than salad, that's about as far as it goes. The burger I had was tasty, but there really isn't much on the menu that is safe for celiacs. They're usually so busy that, although the waitstaff we have had each time seems to want to help, they really don't have time to spend time on looking into whether offerings are GF if they don't know. The kettle chips are deep fried in a shared fryer and you can't sub a baked potato with your dinner - BUT, they will give you fresh raw veggies. 🙄 This is not our "go to" restaurant, unfortunately. We would have gone to Clearwater Harbor restaurant down the road from Wheelhouse, but they're closed in the winter time.

I had asked if the burgers were grilled on the same space as the bread, and if so, if I could get mine cooked on tin foil. She said if you're celiac they take extra special precautions. I felt confident when she mentioned celiac before I did. She wrote GF and celiac on my ticket. It pains me to say this because the burger was delicious.... but I had a lot of stomach pains, and terrible gas and bloating after eating it. 😔 the waitress was very nice and I did appreciate her. Next time I will probably stick with just a plain salad 😔 it was an Udi's bun, which is my favorite brand. Nothing is marked gluten free, but there is a note at bottom that you can get gluten free pizza crust and gluten free buns.

Wheelhouse has gluten free pizza crust and buns, takes the time to ask you if you are very sensitive and inform you of possible kitchen possible cross contamination since no separate kitchen area.

The pizza is made on the same surface as the non gf pizzas, I get sick every time from the pizza. I order the chef salad with no bread or croutons and have been okay or the spinach bacon salad.

All buns, GF or not, are toasted on the same grill as all the meat. Our waitress, who was very nice and honest, said that there is flour all over the kitchen so pizzas are likely cross-contaminated, as well.
