Whiskey Cake has a few GF options on their menu and our waiter seemed very attentive to cross contamination risks. I had the rotisserie chicken and didn’t have any issues. Next time I will try the shrimp salad. They offered a GF chocolate pie but I was too full for dessert
No dedicated GF menu, a few menu items are labeled.
I eat at Whiskey Cake pretty regularly and I always enjoy it. I usually get the Sautéed Mushrooms and the Chicken Cobb Salad and Guava Gimlet with Titos

Menu is noted with GF or VG. A local bakery in League City makes all of their GF bread. WC is very accommodating for GF diners. We ordered a dip that came with sourdough and they brought me a side of a toasted GF bun. They do have Austin EastCiders seasonal cider. It’s GF. They do like to be told the level of your intolerance. Let the waitstaff know if you have celiac, gluten sensitive or just prefer to not have gluten.
Server was knowledgeable about celiac and told me they had a procedure in the back for food allergies. I had the grilled chicken and kale salad and the grits. Great experience!
Food was excellent. We had the hummus with veggies and duck.
I’m really torn about how to rate this one. Everything was delicious and they seemed very knowledgeable. But within 30 minutes I had the headache/nausea that makes me think I was glutened.
Very knowledgeable, GF menu, and I felt great afterwards. Couldn’t have the famous whiskey cake, but I got very nice ice cream with homemade whipped cream.
This restaurant is awesome! The manager came to our table after we explained our server how sensitive I was to gluten and told us his mother was celiac, so he understood the struggle and fear of eating out. Their menu selection is not huge, but what they offer is fantastic. Service was impeccable too. They even gave us their signature whiskey cake for free (sadly no gf) since we were celebrating a couple of birthdays. Definitely will be back.
Wait staff was very accommodating and checked on our order. Wonderful meal!
However, it was not a 1-$ restaurant. If say at least 2.5-$. Cheapest entree was $18.

Mary is amazing! She knew exactly why a product may or may not be marked gluten free. The DO have a dedicated fryer and Omg!!!! AMAZING!
So unlike 1 review I read on here...they do not have a dedicated fryer...but the food was fantasticly delicious...ended up having the Double Double Burger on the Gluten Free bun, and the Poblano Cheddar Grits...OMG this was amazing! Had an issue with the kitchen putting onions on the burger despite asking for no onions...and not only did the waitress ask the kitchen to remake it, the manager offered to give us free desert as an apology for the mess up on our 1st visit! Will definitely be back! Where as they do offer items on the menu with Gluten, the kitchen staff, the waitresses, and the managers know how to work with Gluten Allergies and will work with you to make sure what you want is gluten free (if possible). Highly recommend this place!
