We really liked it here. They treated my wife’s celiac with importance. And the food was great.

Heck yes. Good Texas bbq, good drinks. Menu is the only confusing bit- all items containing gluten are marked all gluten free items are unmarked.

Items marked NOT GF, instead of GF. Several options for Celiac. Server had knowledge. Food was not marked in any way when delivered with everyone else. Had bbq chicken and creamed corn.

The waiter and staff were very knowledgeable about cross contamination. The menu was clearly marked as to what was not gluten free. The gluten free bun was hands down one of the best I have had texture and flavor wise, which was a super bonus! Just like other reviews the only sauce that is not GF is the expresso one, the other 3 were very tasty! Another note, the fryers are not dedicated GF.

I am very sensitive to cross contamination and have eaten here twice with no issues. The menu is marked as to what is NOT gluten free. Our server also said the cornbread and one of the sauces were not gluten free (the espresso sauce I believe). I had the brisket, coleslaw and sweet potatoes and had no problems.

I don't know if I had an unknowledgeable server or what... I mentioned celiac and they told me what was safe. I brought up the BBQ sauces and her response was the opposite of everything in the previous reviews. So I skipped the sauce completely bc it didn't seem right. I got brisket and mashed potatoes and had a bad reaction immediately after leaving the restaurant and for the next 6 hours. Wouldn't trust again!

Ate an early dinner for happy hour here. HH is 3-5 in the patio and in the bar area which just had two tops and a bar top. Had the smoked wings. The fryer is not safe but they skip the flash fry for your wings if you request them GF and they mark it as an allergy. They were very meaty. Three of the four bbq sauces on the table are GF. The espresso one is not. Most menu items are GF, the ones that are not are marked. They have GF beer, wine, cider as well as high noon and other alcohol.
My niece has a tree nut allergy. My sister called and the chef told her they do not have any tree nuts In the kitchen in case that’s an issue for you or someone you’re dining with.

I had the chicken wings (they are fried in a dedicated fryer) and the sweet potato mash. Both were delicious! I dunked my wings in the yellow sauce, can’t remember the name of it. All the sauces are GF except the espresso sauce.
Returned in August 2023 and ordered ribs and candied sweet potatoes. . They were both delicious. I had no side effects this time either.

Most items on the menu are GF. When I told the waiter I have celiac he made sure I knew which bbq sauce to avoid. Great food and the live music was super fun.

The nicest people in the world work here. They double checked with me to make sure I understood what was and was not gluten free. They also totally understood cross contamination issues, such as shared fryers! The GF options here are numerous. Plus, I had the best coleslaw of my life, and I don’t even like coleslaw!

This place is fire 🔥 So amazing & almost everything is safe to eat. Chefs are on point & knowledgeable. Even the gravy is made with corn starch so you can enjoy mashed potatoes & gravy…yummo. Platters let you try different meats. I had ribs & pulled pork. We are here last year for the first time & we are back. Did not get sick either time. Enjoy this place..it’s safe

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. Everything served with separate utensils, and they’re as good about cross contamination as you’ll find in an assembly line type place. Cool vibe, GREAT food, and safe! Will absolutely be back every time I’m in town. Brisket lovers meal was outstanding.

Place was as advertised, which is to say 5*. I smoke a lot of bbq at home since I can hardly find a bbq spot that knows about celiacs. I have to say they nailed the brisket - which had a delicious crust and was perfectly cooked.

Would definitely recommend! Great quality food and the chef was extremely knowledgeable about celiac and safety protocols. Staff changed their gloves and brought clean cutting-boards and knives to prepare the food! They have a good GF beer as well. All sauces are GF except for the espresso one when I was there. But could to double check if you go, not sure if they change them. Overall, will definitely be returning.

Spoke with the chef, who asked how sensitive I was to gluten and when I told him I had Celiac he said he would get a clean cutting board, clean knife and changed his gloves. Everything is gluten free except the brisket, cornbread, Mac and cheese and one of the sauces (sweet). Even the gravy and meatloaf is gluten free. I felt safe and confident in my dining experience and feel healthy and happy many hours afterwards. I would highly recommend trying. As a bonus, there’s an outdoor patio out front with a small fire pit and deck out back if you prefer al fresco dining.

This place was great. We got there early so we could ask questions. They were very knowledgeable and helpful with our questions. The food was so good. They said that most things are GF and the items that have gluten are the obvious such as the mac and cheese, but also the following: chopped brisket because of the espresso barbecue sauce they put on it and the corn bread. The beans have whiskey, but the whiskey doesn’t have any added flavors, so it’s GF. They make the gravy for the mashed potatoes with corn starch. They dress the chopped brisket in an area away from where they slice the meat. We ordered in the back so it was very fast for a holiday weekend on a Saturday night. We plan to go back the next time we are in the area.

Very impressed- well aware of Celiac disease. The meats are gluten free except the brisket. Sides are all homestyle- most are gluten free (even GF gravy) except mac n cheese. Bbq sauces GF except sweet espresso one. Cute, funky atmosphere.

Decent barbecue. Brisket was good. Sliced brisket is gluten-free, but not the chopped. Smoked turkey was slightly dry, but still tasty. Salmon was amazing!
There were only two dairy-free sides: Cole slaw and potato salad. Both were great!
Really liked the Texas-style sauce. Not so much the honey gold mustard-based sauce.
The espresso sauce is not GF.

All barbecue meats are gluten free except for chopped brisket. All sauces are gluten free except espresso. We had the sliced brisket, pulled pork and ribs which were really good. Sides of whiskey baked beans and coleslaw were also gf. Good portion sizes.
